Power Wagon Disengaging Anti-Sway Bar into Cummins Ram

Howdy all, Finally wrapping up this project. Well I was able to get my rocker switch setup to function but it was pretty hokey and not very clean. Also, I was becoming less excited about the electric disconnect system after reading about so many failures, it’s a matter of time. So I decided...

Power Wagon Disengaging Anti-Sway Bar into Cummins Ram

It fits. I used to have the stock 3rd gen steering box with and aftermarket brace, it probably would have interfered with that brace. But I switched to the 6 bolt box a few years back and ditched the brace so it’s all clear now. Hopefully this afternoon I can spend sometime working on it. -Chris

Power Wagon Disengaging Anti-Sway Bar into Cummins Ram

I don’t have the thuren swaybar, Im still running the oem swaybar with some end links I built that have removable pins. I disconnect it most of the time but when I have several thousand pounds in the bed I like it hooked up. Thats also part of the reason I didnt do the thuren bar. -Chris

    Trailer build

Is that 2” stock that runs the length from the hitch, with 1.5” for the rest? Whats the width inside wheel wells? 3k axle? I’m looking to build a smaller utility type trailer for hauling boats and bikes when the pickup bed is full. Thanks Chris

Power Wagon Disengaging Anti-Sway Bar into Cummins Ram

Did the EVO bolt straight in? I got the switch I ordered by I’m leaning towards the keep it simple method of just using that evo settup. Thanks Chris

Power Wagon Disengaging Anti-Sway Bar into Cummins Ram

Did your oem motor die or did you just want more control of when it was locked? How often do you disconnect it? I live out in the country and there will be weeks that I don’t drive on a freeway, so if I’m not hauling heavy loads I leave it disconnected. That air actuator looks slick, I already...

Power Wagon Disengaging Anti-Sway Bar into Cummins Ram

The motor has a threaded shaft which pushes an assembly up and presses the pin out. The electro-magnet then powers up and keeps the threaded portion extended. There isn’t any limit switch or sensor inside the swaybar body, I believe the time/distance the motor travels is dictated by the circuit...

Power Wagon Disengaging Anti-Sway Bar into Cummins Ram

Howdy all, Ever since I got my 06 cummins ram over ten years ago I've been lusting after a anti-sway bar that could be set free. I'm currently running a Carli/Thuren/King love fest of suspension goodness. When I put my thuren coils on it(probably 8 years ago) I made my own end links that had...

    1981 K30 Flatbed Camper Build

Very cool start. Sounds like your scoring some goodl materials off craigslist. Much better luck(skill) than I ever have! Looks like you had some 2" square underneath the flatbed during the layout/welding phase. Did that get eliminated when you bolted it down? What are you planning for the...

I'd be really interested to hear your first hand comparison between the two platforms once you've got a few miles on the Fuso. -Chris

Airbag maintenance/ lifespan starting to Crack at 120K

You can just replace the bags, but with that many miles the brackets probably show some wear also. My firestones never lasted that long before I, or road trash, shredded them. -Chris

    Build: Flatbed for slide-in camper

I've been wanting to stop by their shop when I'm in town for sometime, but I have yet to do it. How much higher will the 'flatbed' be compared to stock? -Chris

2012 Power Wagon Build w Smart Bar Mods

Very true! I’ve bent that lip back on two front covers back myself. Fortunately they all resulted in little leaks I discovered before they got real bad. Carli has an option available for purchase if you don’t want to build one. -Chris

Made the investment to rebuild my shocks.

I rebuild and valve Kings. I usually buy the rebuild kits from kartek for about 20-25 per shock and I have a small nitro tank for filling. Takes maybe 30 minutes a shock once they are out of the vehicle(depending on how clean you want the exteriors). Thats replacing all the seals, fresh oil and...

What size aluminum stock did you use for the flatbed? Congrats on the A frame, hopefully that doesn’t distract from the camper too much. -Chris

Thats the exact reason I sought out a 06 when I bought mine in 2009. I didnt want the dpf issues. Im looking for a 4500 now, Id sure like a low mileage 5.9. Perhaps I should look internationally! But that brings other issues. Chris
