Unfortunately like all things in Mexico, they just keep pushing the timeline for when Mexico will have ultra low sulfur diesel. For the most part, ultra low sulfur diesel is not available at this time.
One issue with a passthrough as found on vans and class c's (non lockable doors) you will hear every rattle and every squeak, doubly on washboard roads. If I was getting a new European style expedition truck I would have a passthrough, otherwise its a hard pass on it.
You might look into that "disaster" set up that re routes the fuel in case the CP4 starts throwing metal. It will save your fuel system and injectors etc. basically a $12000 repair.
Ram went to a Cp4 in 2019 and 2020. In 2021 they went back to a Cp3.
Right now I am at +18 mm offset not a bad compromise, I rub on the stock sway bar though just barely, no where else. If my final weight puts me at 8000 lbs on the rear, I will be right at my tire capacity, which I do not like. My only other option would be to go with 13.5 wide Toyo MT's for a...
"E" load is almost meaningless these days. The number you are looking for should the the load carrying capacity and at what PSI.
That tire you are looking at is only rated for 3,500 lbs, and to get the "load E" rating that is at a whopping 80 psi.
The nitto tire will carry the same load but...
So many more options for the lighter weight vehicles, unfortunately there are not as many options when it comes to trucks weighing in the 12,000 to 14,000 lbs range.
I have been racking my brain about the physics of changing to a new wheels that stick out farther than my current wheels, basically going from +18mm of offset to 0mm of offset and how that might affect my turning radius. My gut tells me that a wider track width would equal reduced reduced...
Have you thought about removing the front sway bar or going aftermarket? The head to side window bang I get going over uneven terrain has me contemplating it, despite all aftermarket manufactures warning against it.
With the 68 I would go 4.30 with 37's. I have 37's with factory 4.10 Aisin, and it's not bad but I would be curious to try 4.30. Note, i also drive really slow, if you cruise the freeway at above 70 4.10's would be perfect with aisin. so, I sugest 4.30
I have been warned that the Thuren or Carli sway bars are not meant for trucks that haul truck campers. I would really like one though, so if you go this route report back how it handles with the camper on the back.
Something to consider also. Many repairs on the Ford require the removal of the cab, It's not absolutely necessary, but apparently makes some repairs easier. I just drove by a Ford dealership the other day, and they had two cab and chassis with the cabs lifted off getting repairs.
I am not saying I can recommend this, but if you get in a pinch, check your truck manufactures specifications for what the acceptable concentration of DEF to water is. Usually the DEF that is sold and put into service has a much higher concentration of urea, which is why it crystalizes. You...
