Leaning toward a Rixen like set up lately. The only concept I don't get is if I piece together a system using the same basic components how is it thermostatically controlled? I believe the Espar D5 has an internal thermostat, but what about convection heaters? It seems the benefit with a full...
Most 2000 and newer trucks probably won't even fit a 16" wheel, they would be rubbing brake calipers
Supposably those E rated 37" hummer tires are rated at 4,500 lbs. but again, it's a 16.5 inch wheel.
Closest you can get without going MPT is the 37x13.5x17 Toyo MT at 4,300 lbs.
The problem is your tires only give their rated load at 80 PSI. You need to look at the inflation tables, type it into google and you can see what the tires are rated for at a given pressure.
Two different tires seems like a bad idea to me.
Carole, since it sounds like you are on a tight budget, you might consider using wood that has had epoxy applied to it, like how a boat is built sometimes. There is a member here IdaSho that built a hardsided camper using this method, you might be able to apply it to an alaskan hard sided style...
Only masochists are attracted to a 6.0, and lunatics are attracted to 6.4's. Buy whatever one you want, enjoy, you said you like fixin stuff and they will give you plenty to fix, along with a lighter wallet.
The movement consists of anti-government and anti-law enforcement groups, as well as white supremacist groups who specifically believe the unrest will be a race war.[3][1][7] Groups in the boogaloo movement primarily organize online (particularly on Facebook), but have appeared at in-person...
What euro tier is the motor as far as emissions go? Are they using DEF (diesel exhaust fluid)? Are you concerned about the high sulfur content diesel found in many latin american countries?
I don't think you will have much finding anything that will work. The recommended swap is the G-56 that came in dodge trucks from 2004-to 2018, it's actually a mercedes benz transmission I think so It might be found in other applications. I would seriously look at using this transmission if you...
I would suggest going with composite foam core panels like what TotalComposites sells. You will have the benefits of a box that can be assembled quickly, strong, and well insulated. They are alsos tested and proven design. You could end up wasting a lot of time and money pursuing a non...
I haven't had any problems with the sidewall on the Falkens, but they don't give me the confidence I had with STMaxx, maybe it's all in my head but I know in Mexico, even on 'paved' roads I want a confident inspiring tire. I just think the Falkens were not the best choice for me. I would have...
I have had both the cooper STMaxx and now the AT3W by Falken. I had great luck with the Coopers on a heavy overloaded truck, got 50K out of them including 3 trips to Baja, and another through Guatemala and Belize. I don't care for the Falkens at all, but I have a different application so maybe...
Is it 105K or 150K? Add says 150k. Either way, the first thing I would do is remove the 6.0 motor while it still runs, sell it for cash, and then put that money into a Cummins swap.
I think they make you go through their US distributor now. Sure, you don't want to order now so that you have them later???
I was quoted between 850- to 1000 for shipping on 3 windows, hence the reason why I would love to find someone else willing to go in on an order.
I am likely going to order some Outbound Windows coming from the Netherlands sometime in the next few weeks. If anyone else is interested in these camper windows let me know, we could save on shipping.
