    Ram 5500 super single options

You could go with 22.5 singles tires, certainly better on the highway but less offroad than the 20's. There is not many options for tires with the 20" rim to meet the capacity of the duals. I have heard mixed results as far as the MPT's go.

Goodyear G275 MSA 335/80R20 Tires - Where to buy and how expensive?

I believe they are around $650 a tire. The Pirellis have a date code of 2011! something to be aware of. I also don't think the tire change is as easy as you are making it out to be. They are heavy.

    5.9L vs 6.7L..

WIth the budget you have, I would buy a new cummins. I have owned 2 12 valve 5.9 cummins, the new one is light years ahead of them. You really need to focus on how much weight you will be carrying, that will determine if you need something larger than a 3500. I would suggest a regular cab...

2020 Ram 5500 DIY Composite Panel Camper Build Thread

Honestly, I had an outdoor shower in my last camper, I think I used it maybe once. The only use it got was from the ladies who wanted to shower with hot water in a bikini after a swim in the ocean. So I guess it served it's purpose?

Earthroamer - Living full time questions

ER doesn't customize, unless you consider picking the color of the drapes' custom. With so many better options out there, it's hard to see why it would be in the running. You could go custom, then all your boxes will be checked, and you would still probably come out money ahead.

2015 Ram 3500 CTD - family adventure build

I usually just fill DEF up at truck stops, seems a lot easier and less of a hassle, but I have 7 gallon DEF tank, larger than whats on the normal pick up trucks.

Tire Talk: Load Range vs Load Index

I fail to see how the Firestones would be any much quieter than the Toyo's and the Toyo MT is one of the toughest tires out there. I had good luck with the Cooper ST Maxx in the 295/18 variaty carrying a hard side camper. I got 50K out of them. I think you are going to want a tire with a stiff...

    Cooper S/T Maxx vs Toyo A/T 3

If it matters, the Toyo AtIII is only a 2 ply sidewall vs. 3 ply for the Cooper.

Ford Transit Cab Chassis with Composite Camper

FYI Mitsubishi makes a 6000 BTU 220 volt mini split. That is the most efficient you are going to get, probably better than any 12/24 volt options.

Deciding between Webasto and Espar for heat and hot water and where to mount it

I am sure webasto has the same feature, but I like new Espar D5's with 7 day timer. I can see setting it up so that it comes on x2 day for 30min to 1hr. along with heater fan matrix, so I have the camper parked in the winter for a week I can keep everything from freezing with it coming on twice...

Deciding between Webasto and Espar for heat and hot water and where to mount it

Do you heat your hot water via flat plate heat exchanger or via the use of an Isotemp califoria (spell?) tank?? Are you heating your cabin with the D5 as well and if so what liquid to air heater did you go with? Thank you.

Why SO many used late model RAM 2500s available?

Depends on if you are talking about a FCA product that includes the Cummins motor or not. The engine is what holds the resale value on them from what I have seen.

School Me on my custom camper idea

I take it you will be leaving the camper 100% of the time? If not, I would ditch the idea of a "pass through" but that's my opinion, and I know it is a must have for some, though something I have never understood, but I also don't have kids. If it's on 100% I think the full back window removal...

    Vehicle Pondering

You need to decide what you are willing to compromise on then go from there. Personally I wouldn't get an F 150, if you are going full size you might as well get something with some payload and that can also handle some abuse with the weight, an F150 isn't it. They are more your highway easy...
