The Atlanta area will celebrate the 30th Annual British Motorcar Day on May 11, 2013 in Historic Roswell, Georgia. This will only be the fourth venue in this annual spring celebration of the art of the British motor car.
Land Rovers have been part of the show since the very first gathering in...
Ex-Tec in Germany used to supply this neat little extension so you could sleep crossways in the back:
I used to have a hinged platform with a fold down legs that would rest on the floorboard and the rear floor with the bulkhead providing the main support.
two words... negative earth - 67's have it
(olus a remote mounted windshield wiper motor)
OK - the 66's and before have the starter button - that's cool but not as good as the 67's...I have to stop now or I'll hurt my 66's feelings...
That looks like a nice truck you've found though -if its...
Frame rust and bulkhead rust are the two main issues - 1967 Series IIA is the best Land Rover ever made to the true believers - ignore those 1971 SIIA fanboys - they are just jealous....and if someone pipes up about the Series III's just ignore them - plastic dashes and full syncromesh gearboxes...
Canon has refurbished G12's on sale right now for $279 - great camera for the price:

Biscuit joiner and Gorilla glue is a good way to construct boxes that are strong and don't have any fastener issues. Baltic Birch is also highly recommended.
Just look how a kitchen cabinet box is put together.
My URE9 Uwharrie pics are up on my smugmug pages:

I've used one for a few years - it takes a few times to learn how to set it up but after you've done it around six times you get the hang of it - under ten minutes but easier if you can recruit a second pair of hands.
They act like a big sail - make sure its firmly attached to whatever you...
I ran Bilsteins on my classic with some custom made 1" lift springs and 245/75R16 tires - rode well but I did break the top mount of both rear Bilsteins one at a time. That usually happened after a long stretch of rocky trail where the shocks got overheated. They were replaced under warranty and...
It has to be a two-door series truck - either 88" or 109" - there is a PTO output that goes in the rear of the transfer case then the drive shaft for the PTO (obviously different lengths for the two wheelbases) and the rear gearbox that bolts to the rear cross member with the splined output...
Not many Series trucks were sold in the USA with the rear PTO - an exception was a bunch (maybe 250?) of 1967 Land Rover pickups sold to the State of Florida that were used for pulling 5' mower decks on the shoulders of highways. So to answer your question - yes they will pull a mower deck, bush...
Photobucket sucks -
Smugmug rocks - plus you can get a $5 discount if you use this code sLLIYcdNcsg8Q in the coupon field.
Smugmug is used by a lot of my friends who are professional photographers and the big file size is a great benefit. I've got over 10,400 photos in 55GB of files on...
Very nice - like the whole idea. If you have access to a biscuit joiner you might want to look at using those to join the pieces together - the make for a very strong joint that is virtually indestructible and quick to make.
I have a 12" long piece of webbing with a loop at each end and a caribiner that goes around a corner of my roof rack - the other end is usually tied off to a tree or someone else's vehicle using a web tie down strap - basically any fixed object that's around six feet tall or more. I have an old...
