Awesome! Nice score on the XLT panels. I see you have an aft axle tank sitting in the back...
Bummer about the seals. Glad you guys fixed the upper front shock mount orientation. Always bugged me, but I was all in at the time. Did the chrome faux bead lock bolts fall off, or did you tire of...
No worries. There are all different types and angles. I had an '04 Avalanche and took the sail panel covers off trying to figure out exactly what you're doing now. One of the best, most versatile rigs I have owned.
Could you use some roll cage couplers to make it removable?

I have the same hard dash cover. It tends to pop off on the passenger side when I hit bumps and fall into the passenger compartment. Not sure how it was held on originally.
I like the multifunction turn signal stalk. I need to come up with a wiper delay function on my truck. "Off" or "on" is...
Well... I just pulled out a rats nest of wiring from under the dash. 4 off-road lights on switches plugged into the fuse panel. No relay! Looks like our rigs were wired by the same person!?!? Found a second push button tucked up near the new glow plug button with wires still attached and...
Thx. I don't mind the button, but I need to remember to tell people how to start the truck when it's cold. The guys at Discount Tire couldn't figure out how to get it started after they put the new tires on.
Wow! What a coincidence... I just bought an '83 K10 with a 6.2L, and I am currently in the process of upgrading/fixing the suspension work done by the PO. Steering box has to come out so I can weld up the cracked frame and add plates. The truck has minor surface rust, but all the usual...
Thx! No immediate plans for the drivetrain, other than maintenance. The suspension and steering were hacked together by the PO, and it was horrible to drive, especially with bald and cracked Swampers. So many loose or stripped bolts... Front shocks on the back and backs on the front, all worn...
New shoes for the Little Blue Truck. 1983 Chevrolet K10 SWB 6.2 Litre Detroit Diesel.
35x12.50x15 BFG All Terrains. I thought the Swampers were gonna kill me on the way to the tire shop. Currently, in the garage awaiting suspension upgrades.
Digging back through your thread Larry. Good stuff! I bought an '83 K10 SWB, and it needs some suspension sorting. Just ordered an ORD rear shackle flip and some shock mount bits.
Looks good. Great build. The only thing that makes my OCD kick in, is that the door camo pattern is 90 degrees to the fenders...
Watched a bunch of your videos the other night when I couldn't sleep. Gonna be spending some time on the diy4x site now that I bought an '83 K10.
