    VanKrishna: Operation K.I.S.S.

You're welcome! I am guessing that if your van still runs with that second battery removed, then you have an isolator relay under the battery tray in the engine compartment. I like the Switch Pros a lot. I put an sPod in Vandiana and it was super easy to do/use. What I liked about the sPod is...

Those batteries are tied together. It is highly recommended to use the exact same battery as the one under the hood. Do not mix AGM and flooded acid in the same circuit. That mounting box is pretty much the best solution for that location.

    Build suggestions

Nice rig! I recommend a good compressor and tire plug kit. Unless you get a tear in the sidewall, a plug can usually get you back in the game faster than changing to the spare. Mine has saved the day on numerous vehicles.

    Volkswagen Vanagon 4x4 Conversion.

Any issues with oil starvation at the pinion when you flip a low pinion axle? I know that high pinion housings typically have an oil slinger or something to make sure the bearings get enough lube.

Why not more Grand Cherokee overland vehicles??

Probably has more to do with entry price/maintenance costs than capability or aftermarket support. Eco-diesel is a $4500 option on a $45,000 dollar vehicle. After that, you'll need to add some ground clearance at the very least. With some careful modding, I think you could do well with a GC...

I seem to remember that the BCM was located there and relocated in later model years. If it were the remote keyless module, it should have a FCC ID on it. Start here for info in those plugs. http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/forums/f20/rv-upfitter-kits-connectors-pinouts-7524.html

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

I think that with the above design and weight, you'd pretty much be committing to a permanent hardtop SUV setup, or at the very least, seasonal. With the Africa concept vehicle, I would imagine that there is a market for a Wrangler based SUV. I am sure that there are folks that have never...
