From what I understand, this is more of a concept than what they plan to bring to market. I hope that I am wrong, but I don't foresee aftermarket bumpers from the manufacturer making it to a production vehicle and still maintaining their crash safety ratings. And yes, like always, they are late...
Yea I think they are going to sell 80 Replicas, but this was one of Lydon's spare Rally bikes from last year, I won't say what he paid for it and to get it here stateside but it was well north of the Rally Replica MSRP lol.
Yea, the buddy I'll be tackling it with has finished the legit "supported/official" tour so hopefully that'll be of some benefit to me if nothing more than being an inspiration and target as well as a morale boost. I know the attrition rate is high and most don't finish, but I've gotta give it...
I prefer tubes as well, I hated tubliss, never again. I might stick with tubes, we shall see. Doing the Tour in August, trying to get one in before he stops supporting it.
Those are the exact tubes I was running. Found out on the last flat that the rim strip was damaged, turns out there was a burr near the spoke that I guess was there from building the wheel? Anyways, it cut the rim strip and was puncturing the tubes. Filed it down, new rim strip and some tape and...
The new Sequoia is very much in our sights for our next vehicle since we aren't getting the 300 Series here stateside. I am guessing based on other builds that you could have mounted 37's if you wanted to? Looks great, love the CBI stuff, wish they weren't such turds about other vehicles and items.
I doubt we see any type of replacement prior to 2025 MY. The world economy is in a massive downfall, war looming, next year looking bleak, and most manufacturers backed up with supply issues along with interest rates on the rise. I don't see any major shifts coming from big corporations anytime...
Motor pool Monday, but on a Tuesday lol. I got around to doing my first oil change on the Cruiser myself. I've been wanting to switch over to 5w-30 oil for a while now and I took this chance to get away from the stealership and their crap service as well. I found two missing bolts while removing...
Everyone always forgets about the "Pig" lol. I guess if we wanted to get technical we could say seven as the FJ45 was sold new here in the states as well.
There were multiple "facelifts" on the 200 Series over its 14 year span (2008-2021) but the last exterior facelift was in 2016 and it remained the same through to the end of it's cycle. There were some nice improvements made in 2018 that make it worth looking for one if your budget allows...
