Oh - and BTW I'd skip the Element. Bought one new in 2003. owned for 3 years. Hated every one of them. Although it does haul a lot of stuff. Suicide rear doors suck with a young family.

I had a '76 way back in about 1989 or 1990 and slept in the back on several occasions (with GF too). I'm 5'8" - no issues. I think the interior room of the earlier trucks were about the same.
Completely disagree. At least in my area Premium 93 octane is 30% more expensive than regular. There is NO WAY you will recover this extra cost in improved efficiency. This would mean that my 18mpg typical '05 would need to go to 23.4mpg to break even. Never going to happen.
