    My montero spot

RichardT's 95 Montero SR Build Thread

Thanks man! I've actually had some friends ask me if I bought a new truck:smiley_drive: And everyone has said that it looks way better now than it did when it was two-tone. The new tires are awesome (on the road) so far, I can't wait to get them out on a trail, and actually see what this bad boy...

Manual locking hubs....any difference in MPG?

From what I've read those Aisins are awesome, it's just too difficult to find Monty's around here in the junk yards, so I'm sure it'll be even more rare to spot one with locking hubs :(

Manual locking hubs....any difference in MPG?

Have you heard anything about how reliable the Rugged Ridge hubs are? So far they're the cheaper ones I've seen at $125ish

RichardT's 95 Montero SR Build Thread

Thanks guys. I'm hoping that in the next few weeks, once finals are done, I'll be able to get out and have some fun and get those action shots, if only we'd get some rain, then I could go out, and really enjoy myself ;)

Manual locking hubs....any difference in MPG?

I've been debating about installing some manual locking hubs, but after a little bit of searching, I'm having a hard time finding anyone who makes them for my 95 SR.......which have you guys installed?

RichardT's 95 Montero SR Build Thread

My Monty finally has a new set of shoes :wings: I don't have any action shots, heck I've had these for 2 weeks, but i've been so busy preparing for my final next week, that I haven't even had a chance to get on the forum here, let alone post these pics. I ended up goin with the BFG KM2...

    Engine stutter/stall on an automatic?

Just an update, I cleaned out the IAC, but the problem remained, so I bought a new one for about $140. The day I bought it, the problem cleared up (typical), so I have the new valve sitting in my truck waiting. In the meantime, I found some cheaper ones online, so I'm gonna order one of those...

    Found a dead cat....lets beat it!...Tires?

Hey guys I appreciate the input, sorry I haven't responded until now, I've been crazy busy in school. Before I buy my tires I'll sift through this again, but I think im leaning toward 33x10.5's, I found a smokin deal on a set of 5 by my house for $1016, and 5 oil changes thrown in with the...

    Found a dead cat....lets beat it!...Tires?

Ok, so I lurked on here awhile before I started actually posting, and have been posting here long enough that this subject has been tossed around quite a bit. I did a search, and was unable to find old posts that dealt with this enough to answer a couple of questions. First off, some ground...

    Engine stutter/stall on an automatic?

If you're able to find it, I'll take it for sure. I'm gonna hit it with carb cleaner tonight when get home to try and clean it a bit, hopefully that'll do keep it working until I get that valve. I've been looking on eBay today at them, but I don't know which part number I need, and seems like...

    Engine stutter/stall on an automatic?

Thanks for the info, are they hard to find? And by mentioning that you have one, are you implying that I could buy it off you? Or that I should keep spares handy? Sent from my iPhone

    Valve clicking?

Thanks. And actually for oil I used Castrol gtx, their high mileage blend, but I went with the Mobil 1 filter for that valve you guys mentioned, and so far so good :) Sent from my iPhone
