XL manual floor shifter died for 2019. ESOF only.
I'm starting to come around, and enjoy mine. Locker and 4wd at the flick of a wrist is kinda nice. I also preferred the manual.
Huge diff-erence.
I'll be adding an Yukon autolocker to my front axle when I regear in the future. It does nothing on the street, especially in a Ford when the hubs open. My personal truck never needs 4wd over 20mph in the snow. So the normal autolocker downsides, don't apply to me...
I've done plenty of ''in chassis overhauls''. I felt that every single one was lower quality than removing the engine, and getting it on a stand where I could spin it over by hand. And those were semi trucks. Far easier to access.
Check with Earthroamer. With as much thought, and cost...
So the most hated truck on this forum, becomes the benchmark when a leveling kit and front LSD is added?
Or is it the cool Tremor, Powerwagon, Raptor, Rubicon stickers? Stickers are cheap. Lolz. Predictable.
tree saver
hilift jack
hilift winch kit
winch shackles
extra chain and/or winch rope
truck claws
shovel
chainsaw
That bit of kit is all I need for recovery, for at least the past 20 years. Electric winches are nice, but optional.
I don't think that Fox makes a twin tube shock? I can respect engineers not going hardcore on shocks, as the are so easy to change by the end user.
Duratracs are good tires. A little wiggly when new. Don't seem to handle as much weight as they're rated for. Seem soft. Thin sidewalls...
Same as hill decent. It's a pedal operated cruise control. Use throttle to speed up, liftand it holds that speed. Us brake to slowdown, lift and it holds that speed.
There's a one wheel peel program, to the TC.
It'll brake the spinning wheel until you can smell the pads roasting on my 2017. But it cuts throttle a bit as well when it happens. You have to keep the throttle pinned.
The more front brake applied, the more the LSD should lock. Did they...
Flush ATF every 30,000. You can flush the coolant at the same time. It's a lil early if it tests ok and has a good PH.
No idea on the plugs, haven't serviced that engine yet.
Want to see how the front diff reacts to the traction control. Have been wanting to see what modern TC and a Truetrac will do. How well does it lock up whem the TC brakes the spinning wheel?
It's likely a gear/tire combo issue. The 6.2 does great with 4.88 gears and 37" tires. But I doubt any OEM manufacturer would put that much gear into a stock truck.
Nice.
But my opinion is the same with it, as the Powerwagon. I'd rather build it myself. Many of us have. Looks like a leveling kit, shocks, front diff, and 35's. Ford Super Duty off road starter pack. Lolz.
It might be smart, that they left off, the winch. Warns bumpers and...
