    FWC Worth It? Insight Appreciated!

Check out Bundutec if you need a sizable shower. I think they can add AC as well. I need a rooftop AC and an indoor shower, that pretty much means Bundutec or a hardside for me.

    2016-2017 F150 4x4 EcoBoost - Real world experiences??

Turbos are cake. Assuming that the aftermarket kits are engineered properly. Often, are not.

    F150 - 5.5' vs. 6.5' bed?

6.5 Garages are for cars and bikes. Get a bed you can sleep in, put an FWC on, etc.etc.

Sleeping in my Xterra in bear country. Where should I keep my food?

Bears are going to learn how to toss aside those fences in 3-2-1...... Those can't hurt much more than how it feels to rip a car door from it's hinges.

Ford Superduty Tremor "off road" 2020 F250/F350.

Last time I checked, the Ford rear shocks are a full 4" longer than the Dodge. You have to put that somewhere. I'd knock a hole in the bed and run the shocks to a hoop near the top of the bedsides. But that wouldn't be very truckish.

I don't recall the shocks ever being a problem. No lower than the pumpkin, and it's ok to hit them on things. Res goes up, shaft rod goes down. Just a chuck of billet Al on Kings, and easy to replace. Just avoid any shock with adjusters on the shaft rod end.

People think pulleys increase pulling power.

Every group ride has a hobo. They're like a synthetic man on a spaceship, but for overlanders. -they can always find a camp site anywhere you're not supposed to camp -they always find a pond, river, city park fountain, to bathe in -never complain about shaking the majik winch chicken -bears...

Sleeping in my Xterra in bear country. Where should I keep my food?

We hide/hang bear proof canisters, and generally burn all of our garbage. (not cans or bottles obviously) Cooler is open. Bears are welcome to help themselves to soda, beer, but it's mostly 1g jugs of water when car camping. Backpacking, there is no cooler, and there is no bottled water...

The Trans America Trail in a 2019 Ford Ranger

This website says there's a few discrepancies with some online maps. Accidentally going through private land or something. https://www.transamtrail.com/product/z-tat-bundle/

Thanks. I'm starting off with the eastern routes. Won't make it that far west on my first attempt.

Looks fullsize friendly. Would a hardside camper on a fullsize fit down those roads?

Post Pics of Your Hard Side Camper!

Charcoal, or at least Bundutec gray. It always looks best to contrast the truck, not match it. Some black 450 or Bushwacker flares up front would look cool as well.

Ford Superduty Tremor "off road" 2020 F250/F350.

It's the same around here. Ram gets a disproportionate amount of yahoo owners, because they're cheap Fords. Fiat will finance anyone. My dog got a loan application in the mail from them. End of year sales on Rams, are double the discounts Ford and GM offer. Diesel's can be had at gas...

Ah, the ************ bag Raptor effect. Pay $20 000 extra for the Raptor Package, then rip every part off, and replace with even more expensive parts. Thus completely ruining the truck. Ebay the old parts to fund vaping, Subaru head gaskets, and DC shoe hats.

    Need Help!

Don't think we ever did. Bolt up axle with perches loose. Line up the wheels with the body. String out the thrust angle. Tac weld perch. Diassemble, take axle to pro welder. Might be extra ''Papst Blue Ribbon'', but it worked.

Anyone have a link to the Army pulling Humvee's out with just a rope and pulleys? Manpower only.

It's just one cable, ran through pulleys multiple times, just like the girls water jug.

Need advice - buying a truck

Yep. Nobody should bring more than a backpacks worth of gear on a camp trip with those. You really have to be careful about weight. Do 4 people really need 4 campfire chairs? Half the time, half of us are standing, cooking, on a blanket, etc. Do we really need a dozen dishes for 3...
