    Tundra vs F150

Toyota used to make fine diesels. It would be a heavy B-series kind of engine. I haven't crossed paths with a decent modern Toyota or Merc diesel. Merc had some nice semi-truck engines, haven't seen one in years.

    Ram Rebel Suspension Dilema

Depends on the truck, and kit selected. But BDS is the real deal. A 4" on a Super Duty will flex as well as Carli or anything else.

    Ram Rebel Suspension Dilema

Bds with King 2.5's. ****** is up with the wheel warning stuff? Will 18" aftermarket wheels not fit a lifted rebel?

    Full size winch bumpers

Generally, if my winch isn't optimally placed, I grab my Hilift, chain, and rope. Eventually I gave up on electric winches entirely. Hilifts are a pita, but electric winches require 10 times more service than the occurrence of events where they're useful. So......

Dry sumped and in the back of a Superlite SLC with open headers.

    Tundra vs F150

Is it so hard to look at the plus's and minus's each truck has and make a decision? Without fan boys getting bent out of shape. Ya'll toyota guys are crying like fiat/chrysler owners in this thread. Ford makes a Tundra better than Toyota right now. Big deal. For a bunch of guys that...

    1990 F350 Brake Calipers

I've had good luck with reman'd Raybestos loaded calipers. The lines are value added, but I'll bet it's just the calipers.

    Mud terrains or All terrains....?

Since an LR is never going to be a car, and has so many bad foibles already,.....MT's should just be a nice bit of character. "You're either an MT guy, or you're not." Cooper Stt's are pretty street friendly. Only real downside to them is that they require frequent rotations. Every 5000...

Interesting midsize truck comparison / test

Tires, shocks, driver skill, and tires should be improved first. Before ever considering adding weight. Weight will make the truck slide less often, but it'll slide further. Patches of snow and dry pavement, means 2wd. With really good tires, I notice no problems keeping up with Subaru's...

    2011-2016 Ford F-250 SCSB 4x4 Gas 6.2 with Lance 865

You have to do ''diesel truck stuff'' with a modern diesel. My truck is a weekend warrior, but buying an economy car for around town, would cost 20 times more than the wasted fuel in a big truck, or the higher costs of the truck. I already have the truck. So it needs to be able to handle a...

    Tundra vs F150

Caribou or magnetic are better anyways. Assuming you don't mind professionally buffing and polishing the truck every year. Not exactly expo friendly colors.

    2011-2016 Ford F-250 SCSB 4x4 Gas 6.2 with Lance 865

I should be more specific. My 17 has 3100# of carry capacity. A 10,000# sticker. Your combo would work on my truck. Unless you have a ton of lead dinnerware in your camper. Pretty much the only limit on the truck. I'll never get anywhere near it's axle or tow ratings. Those are...

    Tundra vs F150

''Stop liking what I don't like.'' HahahhahHah. Tundra vs F150 is a pretty popular topic. But it's comparing an old actress, to a young supermodel. Your choice. Don't take it personally like the dodge guys.

    2011-2016 Ford F-250 SCSB 4x4 Gas 6.2 with Lance 865

My 17 can handle that fine. I might add some more rear spring, and a sway bar maybe.

    Tundra vs F150

Thousands of owners that couldn't make a repeatable experiment if it cost them their lives. DRIVING AROUND YOUR TOWN, FUEL ECONOMY, DOES NOT MATCH ANYONE ELSE, CLEAR ACROSS THE FRACKING COUNTRY. Especially with a heavy truck. Where every stop, every brake check, has a massive impact on fuel...

    Tundra vs F150

I love how ya'll calculate economy. If city economy mattered, I'd take steps to reduce it, take the car, ride my motorcycle, or stop on the way home in my work truck. Fuelly? hahahahahah. The only economy that I budget for is highway. My f250 is 15mpg@80mph. My old F150 with the 4.6...

    Tire time

Never noticed that with Cooper stt's. Just required frequent rotations.

Ordering an F350 - need advice

I'd be tempted as well. But small camper and small boat, still makes the 6.2l the best choice for a couple more years.

Ordering an F350 - need advice

I ain't putting lumber through my rear window of a brand new truck! Sounds like a good setup. 99% of the warranty issues are the upscale models and all the plastic junk they add to them. Remote start would be nice, but my truck is warmed up by the time I get the FEET of snow brushed off my...

    Tundra vs F150

F150 has better brakes. Don't care how big the Tundra brakes are. Drive them back to back. Must be bad pads, lesser master cylinder, or something on the Tundra. No corrosion here after two winters. Ohio set a new world record for salting roads this last winter. Time will tell. I'd still...
