Tried running the CTEK in “power supply” mode, into the Victron solar controller. It’s a no-go, the Victron needs 5vdc above battery voltage to turn the battery charger mode on.

I drive an average of 1 hour per day, mostly on the freeway. I plug in the charger every other week to keep the batteries fully charged more often. Nothing high draw in the rig. When we are camping in the same spot for a day or so I put out the solar panel , 50l ARB fridge is the biggest draw.

I run a folding 100w Renogy , with a Victon 75/15 mounted under the hood. I use a trolling motor socket mounted to a tab welded in my front bumper. Works great keeping my house battery charged, and Bloody Mary mix cold.

Your looking to charge your starting battery to run the BD scene lights at night ? How much will the lights draw per hour, and how many hours do you plan on running them ?

They sent me a replacement charger after I sent mine in for repair.

My CTEK 7002 Mulit USA just bit the dust. It won’t go beyond stage two, but it brings the battery to 13.7 volts after a few hours. It’s only 13 months old so I am working on retuning it to CTEK.

Sounds like the CTEK is faulty. What is the voltage of the battery with the CTEK connected after an hour , and then when disconnected from the battery?

I have a folding 100w by Renogy , Victron charge controller and a Bosch agm. Smaller than my starting battery (08 gx470) . I move the panel a few times during the day to track the sun. Even with heavy use and 90 degree temps no issue with power. I have the same fridge as well.
