Not sure who builds them but the vans are used as snow coaches in Yellowstone and the surrounding areas. Some snow coach companies have found that the big tires aired way down are just as effective on the groomed trails as the Mattraxx. The big tires are cheaper initially to purchase and have...

X2 on this thought! We just spent the whole summer using ours just to figure out that lots of stuff we thought we needed we didn't really need
I ran some heavy rubber I found on amazon for the floor in my rig...
Its super easy to swap out armrests on these vans, takes all of ten minutes to do! I am not sure if your seat has the bung for an arm rest since it didst come from the factory with one. Its would fairly easy to check your seat frame.
At the back of the seat pull apart the velcro that is...
This!
My friend ran Deaver's on his race truck. They handled really well and resisted settling better than the old pack he had. I am sure Deaver's are better, but are they 2K better? For a race truck maybe, a van I just don't see a the price vs benefit being there.
In a similar vein I hate when somebody replaces the motor in a super high mileage van and thinks it makes it new! My friend always uses the analogy of a sub sandwich: You can replace the meat in a month old sandwich, but the rest of its still a month old sandwich!
Have you considered going the...
The doorman part number listed several times above is for hinge pins that have a grease zirk. It replaces the stock style pin and bushing with a pin that's been drilled and tapped and has provisions for a grease zirk. Definitely not custom, available through nearly any parts store in North...
Try dorman part#38455. I just ordered them an few hours ago to replace this hinge pin...............
................The big problem with these hinges is they are spot welded on and the extra resistance of rusty hinges rips them off.
I glued down the sub floor in my van and then started working on paneling the walls. It was recommended to me to use a new adhesive that was suppose to be awesome........well turned out it completely sucked! The floor started squeaking immediately. I figured it might fade with time so we went on...
I know someone on here just did dual express batteries under the hood, they used a battery tray from a JK if memory serves me right.........let me see if I can dig it up tonight when I am off work!
I have just finished tacking together a dual battery tray for my Express. It was super easy to...
I have been wondering the same thing......I haven't found a pillar gauge that really works with the van. The problem with the truck units is the angle of the windshield is different than the van. There are a few universal units that you can heat with a heat gun and form to your pillar but they...
x2 on air bags! I installed some take off Firestone Ride-rites. Took all of an hour to install. Best of all you can tune the suspension depending on the load and road conditions.
CONGRATS!
What color of paint is on your torsion bar keys? (There should be a paint dot) Depending on what color you have stock stock F-150/ Expedition Keys and blocks in the back yield 2.5" of lift for about $80+ Shocks. Or a leveling kit for a Silverado works well and is cheap too! A do it...
I think all Express/ Savannah vans have to have a seat removed and the lower trim to pull the doghouse. I had to do it but I don't have carpet:wings:
Broken exhaust bolts are super common on LS motors. I have the two rear bolts broken on mine..........I need to get off my butt and get to fixing...
Oh man I can't tell you how much I loathe and despise HOA's! Always a bunch of kill-joys! I bet the one I am currently living in right now hates my constant use of grinders and welders :sombrero:
In reading the previous posts the FWD may be more of a hinderance than I guessed! We had a RWD truck truck we plowed with for years. It was terrible in the snow without 2000+ worth of salt in the back. Guess a RWD is more capable with a load in the back than a FWD?
The 20k lower purchase price...
How do the kiddos like the hammocks? I think those are a great idea! The wife and I are planning on kids in the future and it looks like a great solution for our van.
