A trailer for the short bus

Now that I'm getting back into working on the trailer we've expanded the scope a bit, it's time to be able to raise/lower the tent rack. The height/center of gravity and lack of shocks are the trailer's two worst traits. Shocks are in progress and now so is the moving tent rack. I'll be...

    My M101A2 Expo/Base Camp Trailer

That's about my time frame as well. I'll be going with 4 but was wondering if he ever attempted using just 2 in his build considering he could have easily swapped out just 2 and tried it.

    My M101A2 Expo/Base Camp Trailer

Thanks very much for showing your linear actuator install, I built up my trailer two winters ago and opted to leave the tent rack at full height, knowing full well that the center of gravity will likely be too high for much off roading and I would have to come up with a solution later if it...

A trailer for the short bus

Well we were going to sell the trailer and move onto a new project but decided to keep it around and make a few changes to make it even better. We're in the planning stages of a Baja trip next year and I have a "To Do" list already going for the trailer. The plan is to leave Seattle and end in...

    Trailer Suggestions Needed

Check out http://dinoot.com if you want something to match your rig and keep the budget down. I'm super happy with mine and have been dragging it around behind my FJ all Summer. My build thread is linked on that page somewhere. I have no relation to the company, just a satisfied customer :)...

    Power Management with Fridge

I just returned from a week long trip with my 37 qt. ARB fridge, the best camping purchase I've made in years! My trailer setup is a pair of 80 amp/hr marine batteries in parallel topped off before we left with a 100w solar panel (solid mounted, no tilt) We packed the fridge full (items came...

saw a 2008 little guy for sale near my house, do people upgrade these for off road?

I couldn't find it on CL, not sure these people are internet savvy, could be a score for someone that knows how to do some basic upgrades on it though :)

saw a 2008 little guy for sale near my house, do people upgrade these for off road?

Whoever ends up with this one is gonna get a score, I bet they would take $3000 at this point, they keep putting it closer to the road and changing the sign, this weekend they had it all opened up and even staged with some cooking stuff and pillows on the bed :) If it was a year ago and I...

Solar Installation Tilting + Trackinging Solutions

I tried to come up with a way to do the tilt as well and decided the money it would take to do it with 80/20 as I did the slideout for the panel just didn't make sense. I just got back from a week out with the trailer and running my ARB fridge, some lights and a water pump with daily charging...

saw a 2008 little guy for sale near my house, do people upgrade these for off road?

Neighbor lowered price from $4800 to "MAKE ME AN OFFER", anyone out there interested? Looks like that person down the road with the little guy is getting desperate to sell, they took the price of $4800 off the sign and replaced it with Make and offer! I have the number and name if...

    Noob on a trailer

Yeah, that part stinks. I just went through that here in WA and have a couple tips that nobody mentioned to me before I went in. First, in case they didn't mention it you have to bring all your receipts with you to the inspection to prove that the parts weren't stolen from other...

saw a 2008 little guy for sale near my house, do people upgrade these for off road?

The seller moved it closer to the road and put a more clear sign on it, looks like they're getting desperate, it does say OBO if anyone here needs a project. I really wish I had the space/time to pick another trailer. Would look good with some bigger tires, fenders and a re-enforced frame :)...

saw a 2008 little guy for sale near my house, do people upgrade these for off road?

So I stopped and took a quick look at it last night. It's a 2008 Silver Shadow and appears from the outside to be in decent shape. The hatch has some paint damage and maybe a small dent or two and I didn't get a good look at the rest. A project isn't really in the cards for me right now so...

saw a 2008 little guy for sale near my house, do people upgrade these for off road?

I'm gonna stop and take a quick look at it tonight, see what the guy is asking and what model it is, then I'll hit you all up to see what the right money is for it :)

saw a 2008 little guy for sale near my house, do people upgrade these for off road?

There is a guy selling what the sign says is a 2008 Little Guy down the road from my new house. Do people replace axles and fenders on these to turn them into mildly capable off road capable units? I'll have to stop and see what he's asking, if it's reasonable and people do like these for off...

Single source for all camper electrical needs?

A single source is a bit of a tall order but a couple is do able for sure. I got my fuse blocks, cutoff switches, power cables, battery terminal caps, 120v battery charger, 12v outlets, USB chargers, switch panel, battery hold downs, and most of the other stuff I needed to put my electrical hub...

A trailer for the short bus

Thanks, just a couple small details to sort out but we're moving to a new house this coming week so no time for trailer fun. The larger linear bearings slide up and down to allow the awning to adjust up/down about 20 inches.

Post favorite pics of your rig and trailer

I'll try to grab some photos tonight but it's basically the same as my solar panel mount, using 80/20 linear bearings it slides up and down about 20" when you need it to.
