I see a lot of people online and youtube raving about the dometic go hydration water faucet and they all say it can be used with any water jug. However, every video and review I see is using the dometic go hydration water jug with it, which is of course not available.
Wondering if anyone has...
Did a quick estimate on UPS and it is saying about $55. To me that seems high, so it may be less. So $155 and it's yours. Ill send a photo of the receipt and refund you if its less than that. If it's more I'll eat it (within reason).
Took delivery of the camper today and excited to see how this thing develops. Going to be uncharted territory for much of it.
I already have some 2" taller rear springs to install that should offset some of the squat I expect once loaded with gear. Plan will be a relatively basic and...
Only used a couple of times while my ovlrnd camper was being built. This is a great alternative to the Napier tents as you don't have to mess with poles and it has a floor so if your truck bed is dusty, your sleeping area isn't. It's 6 foot tall inside when deployed so you can stand up to...
This looks great. I've used 8020 for roof racks and stuff, but hope to use it for cabinetry on this build, but I can never tell in photos how the wood is fastened to the extrusion?
Can you share any info or photos on how you attached it?
No not like lizard skin. It's just a bright white silicon reflective paint. Very rubbery almost like flex seal. Lots of brands for it, but I used the Henry's tropicool. Available pretty cheap from most home depots...
I plan on painting the roof with a silicon solar reflective paint. I did it on my ambulance build which was similar construction (aluminum skin over aluminum tube) and it made a huge difference. Plus it provides some extra sealant for any through roof accessories like fans and solar ports
Well... Sort of. So after finding out I would have to pay sales tax on the full value of the PXL (about $11,000) right after paying $8,000 on the TRX I decided to proceed with the build on the TRX. Even going with a non-PXL 3/4 ton would still mean $6-7k in extra tax spend. So there just...
No speed rating, but he assured me would do 100+ no problem. And I have no reason to doubt it. My only concern with the softopper is any flapping of fabric or excessive sucking in due to pressures as noted above.
Neither of those are potential issues with a hard side.
Not at all worried...
thanks. Good feedback. For me, this is a temporary solution. I have an Ovrlnd pop top shell being made but won’t be ready until august/September. I currently use a soft tonneau cover to stash my gear but it’s pretty limiting on space. My thought was the soft open would give some more room and...
I’m on the verge of buying a softopper but I have yet to find a review that addresses it’s stability at speed. I routinely do 100mph plus in my ram on desert highways between destinations.
Anyone have feedback on how softoppers do at higher speeds?
Thanks.

I really like that. I wonder if they are strong enough to stand on to aid in getting in and out of bed. I like the little drawer down low but I wonder if there’s a way to utilize the space in front of the wheel well?
