    Fuso owners in the US

You'll likely need to go to a medium duty truck shop or maybe try your local CAT dealer, sometimes they'll work on road trucks. As far as the engine itself it's not hard to work on, not exotic, not different than ay of the other diesels. If they don't want to work on it it's because they just...

Progress, not putting too much time into the front fender because I'm just going to replace it. Trying to get the rear quarter as nice as possible before sanding and painting, i think I'm going to armor the quarter as well.

While out testing on Saturday i took my first real body damage out on the trail, i guess it was finally my turn. It'll get fixed, don't worry ?

New coilovers are in, the interior is back together and it feels amazing! So smooth and controlled on and off road, best of all it's nearly silent again even offroad. Makes me so happy. However, if i had to do it again i would have left the shocks in the stock configuration and location but...

    Monteros on craigslist

Here's one for sale by one of my coworkers, he's taken good care of it (older guy) and it really hasn't been wheeled. https://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/d/phoenix-2003-mitsubishi-montero-xls/7304224757.html

    Toasty's '98 Montero Build

Got the engine installed this weekend, had to use the GS430 oil filter housing for barely enough clearance. Looking okay for the radiator clearance which was a big concern.

    Toasty's '98 Montero Build

Yes. Especially if you did the early 1UZ and 4 speed. Now there's always getting an LS engine for free from your uncle and just happening to know how to DiY everything could make the LS swap cheaper. I'll tally up the cost of this once i finish.

    Pajero Mk2 SWB MIVEC Build

@MummifiedCircuitry Wide block 4G64's are not too uncommon but they share parts with the super common 4G63 and can build a ton of power, then you could have the long stroke truck motor with the car DOHC and turbo. I swapped a 4G64 into a '94 Montero, the driveline is super easy to accommodate a...

Swapping 5-speed AT into 2002 Montero XLS?

On my 5 speed swap (Toyota v8) the original shifter LS430 has a gated shifter which i was originally going to use to avoid CAN issues and gain full manual control of the gears plus the normal drive function much like the Gen 3. After inspecting the shifter it is just a cable shifter (same amount...

what doi you use for Gen 2.5 Tranny OIL

They do say that, I don't know that Dex-II even exists anymore in its original form. Now, i'm no fluid scientist but i have bought Monteros where the transmission was killed with improper fluid causing them to slip like crazy and blacken fluid (one killed by Mobile Synth ATF specifically). I've...

Swapping 5-speed AT into 2002 Montero XLS?

This swap has intrigued me for years, this era of Mitsubishis are PCM so you'd likely need to swap the PCM and possibly run a wire or two for the extra shift solenoid. It's entirely possible that Mitsubishi already has the interface in place for this but nobody that i've found has done it so...

what doi you use for Gen 2.5 Tranny OIL

Doing an AT service Driggypoo? Guess i'll add to this thread again, I'm currently running Toyota T-IV because my local Mitsu dealer closed it's doors. It's more red than Diamond SP but it's also the spec for the Toyota A340 aka 30-40LE aka V4AW3.

Canter front diff prop shaft help

It could be that they want to charge you more, honestly it's a super easy every day job for a driveshaft shop. Like there's nothing weird or oddball about changing out a slip shaft and or retubing the shaft itself. I've had probably a dozen done for various Mitsus which are super uncommon here...

Canter front diff prop shaft help

Oh, yeah dude just have a new slipshaft welded in. It can literally be from any vehicle. I'm sure they'll choose something adequate and common from your region.
