Canter front diff prop shaft help

I've never seen one before, are they a slip shaft or slip yoke? Either way i'd look into converting to a common 1350 series shaft, I saw an FG once up close and it's front diff resembled the Montero rear diff. Post up a picture of the 3rd member and pinion flange if possible, on the Montero the...

What did you do to your Mitsubishi today?

I quit even entertaining mounting Jeep bumpers to Monteros, the Sport will be a slight bit easier because they're more similar to the Jeep mounting. That said they are drastically different shape, Jeeps are flat across the front and Montys are curved and Jeep bumpers are typically narrower than...

Question for ES_97Sport about 97-99 MS ECU

The donor Sport had a V4A51? That's a pretty uncommon combo when i searched during my 2.4 swap, I think the path of least resistance here would be finding a manual trans computer that way it's not looking for a pulse signal to shift and it stays happy. I don't know if the Mitsu PCM goes into...

    Toasty's '98 Montero Build

Got the front of the engine back together last night, replaced LS400 the fan pulley with an idler pulley from a GS 430 for more clearance. Since i don't have room for a mechanical fan i need every bit of room for electrical fans. This idler assembly saved me .5" it's part number is FBT-011.

    The old 1999 build thread

Converting the rear suspension to coilovers now, it's a super tight fit and i had to get into the body quite a bit. It doesn't effect the seating or 3rd row but it's a lot more cutting than i had intended. It'll be worth it, with the stock coils out i can correct the trailing arm geometry for 6"...

    Toasty's '98 Montero Build

I've got the motor mounting solved and this week I'm working on the transmission mounting, again using Mirage motor mounts like i did for the NP241 swap as they've proven a durable inexpensive solution to the ever torn transmission mount problem on the Gen 2.

Pajero 2.8 Turbo Diesel with 5speed conversion kit

Yeah, so on the Gen 1 it's a bit different. The 4D55 engines are directly in the same location as the 4G54 engines, they moved the mounts for the 6G72. What i don't know is if the 4D56 got updated brackets to land on the V6 frame mount location or if they continued with the 4G location, it seems...

    Gen 2.5 3.8 Swap

I've seen a lot of trucks stall in an attempted swap, ones that others have before completed. One of my friends has a 4G54T swap that is like 98% complete and has been for a decade.

Pajero 2.8 Turbo Diesel with 5speed conversion kit

On the Gen 2 you can just install the crossmember backwards and it will align the drivetrain for the Diesel and gas 4 cylinder engines, Interesting note is that there are also offset trans mounts for the Gen 2 available OEM.
