Limited Slips are just that, Limiting. They kinda work when they want to, not when you need them to.
I think the OP needs to look on his axle tag to see what rear axle he has, since the S135 was not offered on the F550 for his model year. It should be either a S110 or S130. The Super 60 in the...
My concern would be the the small pinion gear. Certainly that gearing is required for the tire size and vehicle weight, but care needs to be taken to not shock the driveline. The pinion is going to be a weak link (front and rear). Locking the diff will increase the risk.
Selectable locker in the front is much more predictable in snow and ice than an automatic locker like the Trutrac. Drives better and quieter too. ARB or Yukon Zip air lockers will require an air source, which can complicate things. Eaton E-Locker is an option which does not require on board air...
I am selling my 2004 F350 that might have some appeal to someone wanting to do a 4x4 conversion.
The parts which you might find useful;
D60 with ARB and 4.11. Ball joints, tie rod, drag link all tight. Brakes recently done.
Sterling 10.5 with ARB and 4.11. Backing plate solid, and e-brake work...
Did the newer vans change rear leaf length to what the Super Duty pickups went to in 2008?
I must say that the new OEM leafs in my 2016 F350 ride better than the Icon leafs I had in my 2004 (which were light years better than the 2004 OEM).
My intent was not to criticize the design, just give another option. Since the design has taken caster into account, the requirement for adjustable radius arms is not required. It might be something to consider if a taller lift is desired.
My experiences have been on the pick-up side of the...
The problem with the Ford radius arms is they barely set the proper caster angle with a stock setup. Adding even a 2" "levelling kit" results in death wobble unless using the cone shims of the upper ball joint to reset the angle
Nice. Needs a super charger. :D
The reason a 16" rim won't fit is not because of the bolt pattern. 1999-2004 Super Duties used 8x170 pattern as well, and used 16" steel rims on base models. The reason a 16" rim cannot be used is the increase in brake rotor diameter, limited to 17" steel rims...
What about the turbo? If there is no change in engine performance, an oil leak on the drive side is a possibility.
The 6bt is known to overheat the 2 rear cylinders, with #6 taking the most of the brunt.
While Nissan is a foreign company, the Titan is built in North America.
I'm still under the opinion that a 1/2 ton is NOT a full size.
Might need legal council to settle this. :D

Someone made a reference to sled pulling. There you can see how awesome IFS works.
