Left the trans in place. This engine has two broken connecting rods and does not turn so it had to be pulled with the converter attached. It did require the radiator to be pulled.

Like lordtrunks said though, the easiest and cheapest option is a rear driveshaft disconnect.

Got the engine out, so creeping along.

The above pics are with the rear sway bars on, can't wait to see how they look maxed out. Also I did PA_JERO's truck with 90 degree fittings on his shocks, looks a lot cleaner. When i ordered the first set of shocks i wasn't sure how the hoses would clear the towers, now we know.

PA_JERO and I went and tested the flex today. Clearances are good and now it's just breaking in and tuning. Both trucks drive very well in the road and at highways speeds so we're both really happy.

It's not an adapter it's any other 9.5" diff pinion Flange except '94 and the companion yoke.

I prefer the wire clamps that came on the rest of the Monteros, some autoparts stores have T bolt clamps for silicone hose and those function like the OEM types.

Tokicos are budget friendly and very nice (if you can find them for sale) I got mine on eBay. The Bilstein 4600's are nice too. Now that i've experienced Kings it's pretty hard to enjoy even my Bilstein 7100's. Now i don't even know if the 5100 or 7100 are worth the money anymore, 4600's are...
