Who's running LED headlights in the Northeast?

I'm still hoping that the vent-looking channels around it are for warming the lens but I'm not holding my breath. Turns out they're made by Magna and are on their cost-savings end of the spectrum. The JW Speaker aftermarket LEDs will probably still be the best for a while.

Who's running LED headlights in the Northeast?

That's what I'm wondering. They almost look like there are channels from the heatsinks forward. Can't really tell from a picture so I'll have to wait 'til I can get better intel or my greedy paws on a set.

Airstream is back with the Base Camp trailer

The bed is too tiny for me to even give it a think. It's like the Cricket: for short people.

Who's running LED headlights in the Northeast?

I've seen them; they're not blingy. Sorta bug-eyed, but not blingy. Aside from snow, I'm sure they'll work very well. If they're ditching their MOPAR units that they developed with JWS in favor of them... The MOPARs work quite well.

Ozark Trail "High Performance" cooler - any good?

Website is light on details... Looks to be about a 26 qt though. Making it more than 50% more expensive than the Ozark Trails. ...better than Yeti though. I'm sure that supply will catch up. They seem eager to please.

Ozark Trail "High Performance" cooler - any good?

They could send a truckload of the 52s to Overland Expo and sell them in an hour...

Ozark Trail "High Performance" cooler - any good?

Excellent story. I think these things are the best bargain in high-performance coolers going. A tough cooler that works well at a fair price with outstanding customer service.

Who's running LED headlights in the Northeast?

The heated Trucklites aren't the best answer. I have JW Speakers and the shape of them is better for shedding snow, curved, and they stay snow-free longer than Trucklite/GE or Peterson/KC (older model KC) but they don't stay snow-free in a determined snowfall. The real problem is the recess...

New Kenwood TH-D74 HT + APRS ramblings

I'm afraid of technology that's smarter than I am... I can barely remember how to program the radios I have already. $650 at HRO, btw.

Congrats, John. Did you try hitting the repeater I mentioned earlier? It's usually free in the morning; we can get Tennmogger up early and have a 3 corners qso.

    FCC Ham radio testing

Congrats on passing the General, Jim. I have a 2m mounted in my JK alongside the trans hump. I have a CB mounted to the soundbar. I'm thinking of getting a 20m and mounting it beside the CB and adding an antenna to the swing-out rear door. Most 4x4 traffic is on CB and 2m. 20m is neat for...

Did you ever think of joining CERT? https://www.fema.gov/community-emergency-response-teams I took the basic training in Cherokee, liked the more advanced stuff and took more training. Now I'm an instructor. One of the classes is EOC call center staffing. ARES can also get you in there.

    Haming it up finally

General is pretty darn good on the first go. Nice job. Bob's had his General for about 50 years and has never felt the need to get his Extra. I'm not sure if I will or not ---- the carrot dangling before me is the nice radio at the Cherokee County EOC; drool-worthy set up.
