The axles are engaged full time, even in 2wd only 1 side disconnects. It allows it to free soin easier in turns but it would be great if they could be fit with manual hubs like the Gen 2.
Looks like your UCA is missing a nut...
Don't free spin your steering wheel you very well can break the turn signal cam or clockspring or whatever inside.
Anyway, aim your wheels forward and check for what is binding when you turn left. With the wheels straight you can remove the steering...
Some tire shops do a really bad job at balancing and on top of that almost all tire shops impact wheels on. Even if they torque wrench them after slamming them down with a gun is a good way to have your wheels mounted off center or mistorqued.
Probably got a Sport pitman arm, they have a different angle but they fit and look correct. They can cause this sort of issue, compare the angle to your original or compare it to your idler. They should be parallel at the joint. Also KYB stands for Kill Your Back. STIFF!
Gen 3's are sensitive to this sort of thing, i just fixed one with the same problem. Aftermarket wheels without proper centric rings or wheelspacers without centric bores. Despite what the internet says Gen 3's most definitely are hubcentric. The one I just fixed had .040" runout at the wheel...
99 fullsize? Probably needs a fulcrum ball in the shifter assembly. Common issue but also popping out of gear isn't usually a symptom of that, typically they get stuck in gear. Make sure it has oil in it AND do you have a body lift?
