    Front shock Instructional video

Here's my first attempt at an install vodeo, i plan to document the whole build of my 1991 but I've already done some work and forgot to make videos. Let me know what you dudes think, i figured front shocks were a good place to start because that's one of the things i get asked about most.

2012 Fuso Canter RUST AN ISSUE?

You're in luck. I just happen to be an expert on this AND that is a very clean example. Minimal rust, that's just pain in the ass rust (hard to break free). Power wash it, paint it with POR15 or just PB blast it as is to prevent it from taking hold. You're good, i was in the mining equipment...

Axle Hub Re-Assembly, Drive Flange Sealant, 3M 8663 Equivalent

Here's the paper gasket http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/toyota-suzuki-solid-axle-aisin-asco-hub-gasket-inner-round-style.html Mitsubishi seemed to glue theirs on, I have also found them to have a large O-ring on many occasions seemingly installed by Mitsubishi although I have never found a...

    Grease type for chassis zerks?

I use a something something moly/lithium something or other. Not sure that's correct, Mitsubishi doesn't have an OEM grease or i'd use that. I also use cheapie guy marine grease when i'm greasing parts to be replaced at a later date.

    Wheeling video part meh.

Just making these for fun, eventually i want to document projects and do some more wheeling videos to show what it's really like on the trail.

Yeah, landscape for sure when recording with my tele. Those narrow videos are terrible, i probably won't use the GoPro editor again either. The old GoPro studio was great but they seemed to have scrapped it.

Front Drivers Side Driveshaft Stuck in Diff - Need Help

I usually use the cv assembly itself as a slide hammer to remove them, i have had to weld a flange to a cup once to slide hammer one out before. That was because the diff splines got trashed when an axle broke inside it and a new CV was driven back into it.

I like just raw video and some odd track in the background personally, probably where i need to strike my balance.

I'm using the GoPro Quick editor, leaving in all the crunching an stuff. Lemme know if it's annoying, I'm not a fan of the shifty things this program does.

2016 Montero needs air lift air bags, need help with sourcing

https://www.airbagman.com.au/popular-vehicles/mitsubishi-pajero-airbag-suspension-kits You can see the air bags have the same part numbers from 2000-2016 because the Gen 3 and Gen 4 have nearly identical rear suspension. So by that i think it would be a really safe bet to order a kit for a...

Passenger Side CV Joint Compatibility: 1995 to 2000

Stretch the holes on the 95mm CV to match the companion flange of the 95 Montero axle. The aftermarket doesn't recognize that there are several different CVs on Monteros. Or track down a set of 100mm CVs from a 94-96 SR (or 97-98 3.5 SOHC) and be super tough.

What brand/viscosity oil in your Montero?

Been using Rotella 5w40 T6 in my Gen 2 for 5ish years, runs quiet and oil changes are clean (i still change every 3k), when I have old high milage leaky/smokey beater Mitsus i run Rotella 15w40 which is also what I run in 4D56's. I run Valvoline full synthetic 10w30 in my Gen 3 only because my...

Got a Gen 1 LWB, what now?

That looks hardcore! I've chopped a few of these too, I did a Gen 2 with 0 departure angle except mine was a flatbed and single cab.

Went and picked up the Gen 1 today, these things practically drive themselves. Put it in neutral and set the parking brake, let the big truck do the rest!

Got a Gen 1 LWB, what now?

I do have a set of portal axles... ...but i think they should go under an early gen 3 (3.5 Limited because 5 speed auto and no traction control)

Got a Gen 1 LWB, what now?

I found a set of those wheels locally, I like them but I also like the old spoke wheels and I have those now (not the super rare big opening 6 spokes but the more common big 5 spoke). I found a pair of the big mirrors and all the JDM lights are easy to get, I also have a mint front bumper.

Got a Gen 1 LWB, what now?

Well, a couple months ago I got a 1991 Montero RS with 111k miles. It's pretty nice but needs a suspension rebuild and some minor body work, the interior is decent as well. Overall it's borderline between doing a tasteful resto or destroying it with modifications. I'll be documenting this build...
