I have a pelican case that I have attached to my roof. I also have a fuel can and a few other things depending on what trip were going on. My roof rack right now doesn't have a wind deflector or anything on the front and I can tell it's hurting my gas mileage pretty bad having stuff up there...
I wouldnt rule it out, aside from the condensation we have loved our oz tent. It's been through crazy weather and always does great. I'll probably give the rain fly a shot, combined with some type of small fan and really get some ventilation going. I'm sure we'll go on another trip before the...
Not sure if I can post this in the for sale section but I have a 2002 Honda Civic LX that I'm wanting to trade for a cab-over camper or camper trailer or something similar. In my area similar cars sell for between 3500-4500. Anyone have something their not using that they would like to trade...
It was never really a big deal for us before because we would just have as many vents as possible open. It would be freezing in the tent but we were in our sleeping bags so it didn't matter. We have an 8 month old now so we have been trying to keep it warmer in the tent for him. We have a mr...
Yea I thought about that. I know a tent isn't really to keep u warm but I'd rather not push cold air around in there. Maybe I'll give it a shot though on a really low speed. Might help too if I set up the fan so it's blowing out the tent instead of blowing into the tent
Yea I really like everything else about the tent. I like the set up and take down and after having it for a few years how I have that down. The condensation thing though is really starting to annoy me. I have a hunt in the snow coming up and I'm so tired of dealing with the condensation I'm...
We have had an OZ tent now for years and love it. We use it a bunch and it's great when it's warm or cool. When it starts to get cold though we have a horrible problem with insane amounts of condensation. We have a tent heater so at first we thought it was the heater causing it. The last few...
You don't usually want to have a ton of weight on your roof, especially not on longer trips or off-road. I'm running into the same issue with space and I'm going to build a trailer. I think a trailer is the best option if you have a bunch of gear and just don't have the space in a SUV. Till I...
Yea sounds like it's not grounded properly so it's jumping to ground itself through the case to the closest grounded spot. I'd check ur ground cable for continuity then check that wherever you have it grounded is a clean solid ground.
Luckily there are only a few cables for a winch so checking...
Actually there wasn't any noticeable difference in wind noise for us even though I expected there to be, but I have that pelican case up there all the time too so maybe I'm just used to it. We went out for 3 days and it didn't move or vibrate or do anything at highway speed or off-road so I...
I bought a set of treds a while back and just hadn't gotten around to getting them mounted. I bought one of their mounting kits but it's a horrible design (at least for my setup). Yesterday I made some easy modifications to a set of the mounts that I used to mount my hi lift. Nothing fancy...
I don't drive my 4Runner everyday because I have another car so it's not my DD. Sometimes it will sit for a while so I'd like to get a cover for it. I wouldn't care but I live in AZ, so the sun just destroys stuff. Especially wiring for lights, paint, decals, etc..
Anyone have any...
