A lot less, still might scare a few guys though as it has 0 sway bars. No sway bars is not for everyone, the good thing about sway bars is that you can use them to essentually tune your suspension. The lift springs (ADD, OME, JAOS, etc) are much firmer than stock and if the ride becomes to hard...

I got the samples, i like the bright blue but I'm not sold on it yet. I kind of think i would treat the truck nicer if it was a real paintjob. Yeah, you can see the brownish color on my bumper and winch plate. I think i can get it off with a scotchbrite pad then paint it so it stays metal.

Happy to help my friends here! I took the truck on the highway for the first time since the new suspension and tires and WOW! This thing hasn't been this quiet in years, I mean eerie quiet and smooth. Once I got used to the silence and determined it was ok to turn on some jams I kind of forgot I...

The brake upgrade is great! Huge improvement, I'm going to drive PA_JERO'S Montero to compare his new brakes to mine. We have the same pads and rotors except his are the standard size, that way we'll know if the improvement is just in the carbon fiber brakes and not the bigger rotors. Started...

New Free CAD Sheet metal tool

Ha ha ha Gen 3 skid plates... I made some but they sit... My plan was to work my way to the back of the truck one at a time with the previous skid paying the R&D for the next and so on. Hasn't panned out yet so those are on hold till the first stack sells, we switched gears and started back on...

Battery Drained-need help identify the part

___We don't have hydraulic boosters on Gen 2's, under that area is the wiper linkages. Maybe your wiper motor is getting a slight signal to run, not sure about the wiper motor specifically BUT a lot of the Montero has ground turn on parts SO if that is the case with the motor it could be getting...

    GenIII Limited Slip Diff

Yeah I do that for slippery situations, I think it's (onroad/high RPM) program is more for mom's who might loose control during a skid. If your instincts are to throttle steer or drift it out you're in for a surprise and it will more than likely get you into a sticky situation. Seems to be ok at...

You live in an area that I don't frequent or this stuff would be done already ha ha ha! We'll have to meet up sometime soon.

    GenIII Limited Slip Diff

YES! When I was in the snow these past few weekends the traction control kept cutting throttle. I did not like that at all, I'd be just plowing away and it would be like "Hey! let me help!". It means well but mostly gets in the way.

My quest to acquire a proper Mitsubishi Delica in the USA.

I'm interested in this as well, next year we will be able to import Pajeros with the big motors. I'd love a 2 door Gen 2 with 3 5 DOHC.

    Gen 3 - p0171 and sometimes p0174 - possible fix

I had the same codes but 171 and 174 would hit at the same time, then a no start condition sometimes. Ended up being a fuel pump. Luckily you can change those in 20 minutes on any Montero. I'm starting to regret my Gen 3 purchase due to the massive amount of electrical BS that is at the age of...

    Ironman brand torsion bars?

Didn't you and LT meet those guys in person at the Overland Expo? I think it was after that when I found them selling all their stuff on eBay, unfortunately they had already sold all of what they had for Monteros stateside when I was in the market to try them out. They informed me that they...

    Ironman brand torsion bars?

We sure do! Gen 1's included (no leafs yet but I know THE guy for leaf springs) We just get our springs made locally, it's pretty slow but so far quicker than Australia. I talked with some Ironman reps some years back as well, real nice guys and really wanted to get their products out. The...
