Hope she didn't injure her leg doing that before the cameras were on? Those Ozzies have the coolest gadgets. I had seen another one a bit simpler and cheaper at $400 AU.

"Spot" or not, PLB works for hiker in Alaska

With a SPOT, if you purchase the insurance ($7.95/yr, I think) most costs are covered! BTW I have heard that in Kanukistan, if you do not register with local Forestry or Wardens or do not have a PLB or SPOT with appropriate insurance, you get the bill for the helicopter or planes used and...

    70 Series Cruisers - Get Together 2010?

Andrew, actually Ecuador would be great but I wouldn't have my truck there .... love the food and weather there. Yes, AZ would be much better. I suggested Overland Expo '10 just because I need an excuse to go. There maybe other times better for everyone and places.

    Best Portable Grill

With a Cobb being high quality stainless steel, they are easy to clean and maintain with no rust! The grease is limited to what you cook and what you put on it and how much superficial cleaning you can do in the field.

    Dual Batteries setup?

Minimum gauge I suggest is 4 but 2 is better. Get the flex cable so it doesn't crack in cold weather or from time. More expensive but worth it and easier to work with.
