12V plugs and sockets that are not cigarette lighter style

Try these guys. They sell the "Hella" or BMW style plug. I have wired a couple of motorcycles, a Tacoma and a Tundra using their plugs and sockets. Small than a cigarette lighter, stays plugged in and more durable. http://www.powerlet.com

Outback Proven: long range fuel tank for tacoma

Not sure about current pricing. My price was the first-tank development price which included all the trial and error, fitting issues, messing around to test things, changes at the last minute, etc....so it was stupid expensive. I bellied up simply because Ii really wanted the extended range, the...

Outback Proven: long range fuel tank for tacoma

Completely understand. Good luck with the tank. I hope your install is issue-free. And that there is someone to call if it isn't. In any event, having the extra gallons of fuel is, in the end, what this is about and you will REALLY like the additional range.

Outback Proven: long range fuel tank for tacoma

The first CES tank I have continued to read with interest several years of posts re: a larger tank for the Tacoma. I worked with CES to build the first one. I have since sold the truck to a friend who has used the truck aggressively (installing a supercharger) and beating the truck far harder...

Looking for reliable online gear stores!

I have had really good experiences with Revzilla over the years. Recently, however, I stopped in to see the small retail outlet that Atomic Moto has here in Bend. I met the owners and some of the local (serious) riders who test their gear. On their recommendation I purchased a pair of...

    Best boots for BMW GS1200

Ditto Scott's opinion that Sidi Crossfire if riding at all in dirt. For mild dirt and on road I just switched to Alpinestars Toucan. It is Goretex (Crossfire isn't, but I have ridden Crossfire in 3 hour downpour and not had wet feet), has moderate protection and the comfort is beyond compare...

What are you guys using for boots?

Just switched from Sidi Adventure Goretex to Alpinestars Toucan Goretex. Tried the Toucan on at Atomic Moto here in Bend. Most comfortable motorcycle boot I have ever worn. Great right out of the box. Just did 5 days across the Mojave and they were fantastic. Great review and video at...

    '10 Tundra CrewMax

Just returned from 10 days in Death Valley testing gears and lockers. Magnificent changes. Gears make towing much easier and seems to handle all the weight better. Traction difference over wheels-in-the-air terrain dramatically better. Broke the gears in for about 400 miles before taking...
