I picked up a used set of OME 885 with struts. I am liking the bilstiens but couldn't pass these up.
I also talked to Deaver today and have a set of customs springs coming. :sombrero:
Sliders are done, just need to weld them on. Wheel alignment is done, made a big difference. I just need to...
It's starting to come together. Sliders are down at Saskatoon Custom Powder getting blasted, primed and top coated with semi gloss black powder.
Tires are on. The fronts ran into a bit of clearance issues with the calipers. The rims have 3.75" BS which is perfect but the dish was not...
Before:
Not much room
comparison on length
The install was pretty smooth. Unbolt the top three bolts and the bottom bolt and out pops everything. The bottom bolt had interference issues with the CV shaft coming out. Tried lifting the A arm and it put too much pressure on the bolt...
got side tracked cleaning my garage. Pounded out a set of 9 foot sliders for the truck. Ends need to be sleeved/capped and trimmed down an inch or two. I should get the stringers on them over the weekend.
Well down to the business end of this rig. Bilstein 5100 adj shocks. Should give me 2" of lift in the front. I have a set of 255/85R16 Toyos coming that I am going to put on a set of 16x7 steel rims with 3.75" BS
Hope to start on the install on the weekend.
Sub box covered in vinyl

My plan is to go with the Bilstein 5100 all around (ordered), deaver springs with 600lbs extra load and a 2.5" lift with a set...
Thanks, We had our first real good listen last night and I am very happy with the results.
I was playing around with a $18 backup camera I bought off of Ebay. I am amazed more people don't have these. It is going to let me keep an eye on the trailer at all times.
A guy could hook these up...
Starting the kick panels:
They still need to get textured and color matched. I order SEM that should be here monday
complete Ipod integration with album art. Also plays my itunes library off my SD card with no conversions needed.
and a little video
and now onto something a little more Expo related!
My idea would be to have three bars going across with the one on the end (closest to the tailgate) being removable. The RTT would be pushed up against the cab. That way if you had something tall you may still have room to get it in the back...
pods getting test fit and sound checked.
and some battery wiring upgrades. 4g to the alt and 1/0 to the distribution block in the rear of the truck. I also replaced the ground wires with larger gauge. I am looking into replacing the factory alternator with one of these, not only for...
