Howdy all I have an 06 4 door with oem single piece front flares as opposed to the two piece seen on most tundras. Replacing the bumper with steel plate and looking for advice on cutting flares, best tool to use and what if anything did you do to the cut edge of the flare that remains u channel...
You just unhook the driver side and run the wires to the edge with some safety wire or fish tape. From the edge you can conceal them in the upper trim until you get to the front seat belt tower or continue them along the top until you get to the pillar at windshield them run them down.
I ran mine through the mounts for the original roof rack. Assuming you aren't running the OEM rack, you can use one for the power supply into cab and the other for the ground.

I don't think it will work, at least we couldn't get my buddy's 95 SR to read. I think the guts for the plug or all the pins aren't there; i.e. the pin that supplies power is which is why you get a 'connecting' message but nothing else.
Well, can't ignore the P0335 code, popped up twice in less than a week, first time managed to get the truck to start ran really rough for about 5 seconds then smoothed out; second time it happened couldn't get it started and left it. Came back next day w/full bag of tools hopped in and it...
These are truly awesome racks, had one on my 98 4runner. Nice low profile and sturdy design. Sorry to hear they are made anymore, 3rd gen enthusiast builder fabricated them.

I remember reading your original build thread and then immediately searching for another 2009 trail edition throughout US. About as common as hen’s teeth. GLWS, wish I was in the market.
How is the Monstaliner holding up? Curious to see how it holds up to desert pin striping? Any thing staining the color? My Montero's paint is so thing in places I swear bare metal is almost showing. Clear coat and my Montero broke up a long time ago. :)
Running a innerstate cheapie frm Costco. 3 year full replacement. Ever since Sears AGM batteries stopped being rebadged Odyessy haven’t had great luck w/their AGM so went cheap . Waiting to see how they hold up.
Ok, been here done that. Made a backyard slide hammer. Took a pair of vice grips and got a 3ft section of threaded rod (Home Depot) that was the same pitch as the adjuster on the vice grips. Put a couple washers on one end backed by nuts and put about a 5-6” piece of heavy pipe on the rod...
Replaced mine during the winter, then last weekend during a trip. Hopped back in to start and popped the P0335 code. :( Voltage checked out. Eventually got it running but not sure how. and no I didn't use a OEM crank sensor
Not just poorly described, wrong. I don’t think it can be a 98, wrong fenders and SR was not used then.Maybe a 96 or 97, not sure if box fenders appeared in 97 or 98.
