I had thought about building something simular, to the hitch gate. It would require replacing the receiver on the trailer, it's only rated for 200 pounds. I would do like silverback07 and run the receiver tube all the forward to the front of the box, maybe all the way up the tounge, I don't...
Silverback07 do you have any concepts for your swing out? I've been playing around with the idea of adding square tubing around the outside of the back of the box to reinforce it, replacing the hinges, bracing the door, adding a locating device to keep the door from sagging when closed, then...
But the zipper starts and stops in the corners by the hinge. It'll be tight but I think it'll fit without too much trouble.
Wow, I hadn't noticed the price lately.
On my CVT there is a velcro flap where the hinge is. I'm going to run it out thru there and that ends up very close to the rack, so I can then drop it in the tubing. I'll also tee off so I can have some lighting in the annex.
There are a whole lot of Texans here!!!
I'm planning on running power up to my tent this weekend and I'm planning on running it down inside the tubing for the rack and then popping a hole in the box just below the bottom of the tubing.
I had about 8' of led strip lights left over from a previous project so that's what I used. they worked good so I ordered more to put in the tent and awning. Here LED Strip Light LEDMO, DC12V Daylight White Flexible lamp, waterproof 2835 LED Tape, Christmas Holiday Home Kitchen Car Bar Indoor...
Well crap, why did you go and have to say generator? I had all of my wiring figured out until you reminded me I'll need wires to my generator, it's a ways off so I kept forgetting it when thinking of wiring layouts. I guess I'll have to add a hole when that time comes.
I went down in the back...
Awesome, thanks. That'll work perfect. Now I just have to decide if it's worth buying 4 of them, or bum some shop time and scraps and try to fab my own.
Does anyone have one of the smittybilt mounts like this one http://www.smittybiltdepot.com/Smittybilt-Exterior-Parts-Accessories/Smittybilt-Jerry-Gas-Can-Holder-Black-2798.aspx?t_c=3&t_s=188&t_pt=8401&t_pn=S%2fB2798 ? I'm wanting to mount my cans on the side of my trailer but need to know the...
Awesome, HWM is high on my list of trips. We're planning on running down to Davey Crockett National Forest weekend after next. Between now and then, I'm going to try to get lights in the trailer and tent and maybe a mount fabed up for my jerry cans.
I can't speak to the annex, but just the tent from the first zipper to climbing in the bed was 12 minutes last time I set it up. It was only my third time.
Went camping last night at the off road park and had to strech my legs a little on the way out.
The trailer preformed great and has made camping so much easier. Here's my little helpers
How do you attach your anti-condensation mat to the floor of your tent? I bought a used CVT tent and it came with a mat. When I close the tent the mat slides out. Do I need to fold the mattress and mat before I close the tent? Thanks.
My 4 year old couldn't wait to sleep in the tent so we set it up in the side yard and camped out Friday night. My wife tells a different story, she says that I am the one that couldn't wait.
No MSO. Smittybilt says to register it as a home built trailer. Here in Texas if a trailer is under 4,000 lbs, it doesn't have to have a title. I was planning on getting a title for mine, but I ended up just getting my registration without a title. I went to the registration office and gave...
