Oh Man! I had to work late and was driving back to the office on I-40 in Oklahoma City. I was passed by a westbound white hi top van with a brushguard, rear tire carrier, and an OJ sticker (along with others). I believe it had a North Carolina tag. It really got me jones'n for a trip west.:(...
The main issue I have is closing it off to everyone but hikers. They are all for this because their ox isn't being gored. They act like the fact they are on foot prevents their causing any damage. This is not the case as I have seen hiking trails with extreme erosion issues. And there is...
This is the kicker right here. Roads and trails that have been used, some over 150 years, are being closed. I would be happy with the status quo, but many of that side won't be happy until they are closed to all but hikers. Yes some being closed to Mb's and horses.

I would like to echo Coloram's sentiments. I hate that my wife and I missed getting to meet you two when we stopped by your offices in March. Having a wife that enjoys travel and adventure is the coolest thing in the world. We are both blessed. Safe travels and congratulations.

Just received mine a couple of days ago. Easy to program with Chirp. I'm ordering a higher gain antenna today. I think that will be a huge improvement. The battery life is exceptional.
I use the TopoMaps app. You download the USGS topographic maps in either high or low resolution. It works with kml, gpx, or csv files. You don't see satellite images, but the mapping is great.
I've been told since they moved their manufacturing out of the US their quality has dropped and their have been issues with the batteries.

THIS!!!!! These motors ( at least the 03's and04's) don't have to be abused, neglected, mistreated, or not maintained correctly to have catastrophic failures. I know this from personal experience. I didn't believe this either until making the mistake of buying one and having to eat $5k of loss...
Very cool. That was a smart thing getting the research from Colt to verify its provenance. I had an 1851 London model that I wanted to have them research, but do to a fire years ago, they had no records for them. I've seen Colt letters actually double the value of the gun.

Very clean build Arclight. You do very nice work. I may borrow (e.g. steal) some of your ideas. I'm interested in the lighting control board if you decide to build more. Keep us posted.
Hi Ian, We really enjoy the show. We watch it on the internet since we disconnected our satellite service. It exposes our industry in a positive manner to many who would otherwise never know much about it. I've "borrowed" several ideas from you guys. Keep up the good work. And if you ever...
Great score man!! I went trail riding with a friend in Arkansas who owns one of these. It was very impressive. The extremely short wheel makes it very maneuverable. I think they look cool also.
