    FJ with all the "stuff"

Pretty sure this is who he was talking about. Hasn't been on since January of last year. https://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/coreys-2007-fj-cruiser-built-for-expedtion-overland-daily-driver.18563/

    FJ with all the "stuff"

He probably got tired of everyone ragging on him for having all the stuff and no dirt on his rig.

Wanted in Washington State (or bordering states) - 3/4 Ton Military Trailer

I recommend getting a bolt on, swivel trailer jack with a wheeled foot. That way you're able to move it around in the driveway while it's disconnected and, like VanWaLife mentioned, it gets heavy when loaded so you're not risking your back trying to lift it off the hitch. I've had many...

Looks like a nice score. Good luck with the build.

    Cutting the Fat. Bumpers???

I'd check in to what replacement bumpers are going to cost first. It could be you're dollars ahead just by keeping the ones on there.

Check out SteelSoldiers.com. You can place a "wanted" ad there and more likely to get a hit quicker.

    James Baroud Grand RAID XXL

"It’s either never worked or I never figured out how to turn it on." The switch is inside the fan. You have to stick your fingers up between the blades to turn it on.

    NATO G Wagons

If I was looking for a G Wagon specifically I'd think these were outstanding prices. Especially for an overlanding build where the lack of power windows, heated leather seats, and all the other cushy standard MB stuff being missing is actually a plus (less stuff to break down). I just can't...

    NATO G Wagons

Being a military vehicle collector I'm always on the lookout for new and unusual items. I came across these and thought they could serve a dual purpose with a couple of my hobbies. They're a little out of my price range once you take into consideration the import costs but thought I'd pass...

    Gov Planet Pricing

Well you have 18 year old mechanics overseen by a 25 year old NCO. It's not so much the mechanics that are the issue but the lack of care from the drivers. They generally treat the own vehicles with much more care and respect. One of the other issues with buying from GP is that these vehicles...

    Gov Planet Pricing

Unless you're a Jedi Master with a multimeter and have a MS in Electrical Engineering I'd steer away from the FMTVs. Like Ramdough recommends (and I believe he has a LMTV so is biased for them) check out Steel Soldiers. I had pretty good luck with mine yet had to chase down a short in the...

EPA Diesel Engine “Delete Tuning” Crackdown...Is It Here Now?

"The consensus is that we're right" doesn't mean anything. The only "proof" that the "consensus" provides is that their computer models point to "X." It has been PROVEN that their computer models and findings have been doctored to come up with the "evidence." they want. Forty years ago the...

Concealed Carry - What Have You Got?

In TX we're supposed to produce it along with your driver's license when stopped. They already know you have it via their in car computer so you're kind of setting yourself up for additional questions if you don't produce it. If someone outside of law enforcement asked me I'd tell them to...

Another Smokin Deal...Chevy OD 4x4 Lo Miles Military CUCV Ambo, @$12k!

Huge difference between a gas engine and GMs 6.2l Diesel. Also these things are geared in such a way that if you drive over 60 for very long you're going to toast the motor. I had a M1010 ambulance and while it looks like it might make a great camper that would only be if you completely...

    Fridge Straps?

I have and ARB and purchased their strap kit. It has hooks that fit over the fridge handles and holds it tight. I actually built a platform so it would sit flat on the rear floor of my Titan and bolted the straps to angle iron brackets.

    LMTV with only 2,000 miles

I can vouch for that being a reasonable price (and I don't know the seller so not just blowing smoke). I sold my M1078 last year for around the same price. The only difference being mine was 3 color camo and had a cargo cover for the bed.

    LMTV with only 2,000 miles

Should be legal in every state except the controlling ones that think every Former Military Vehicle comes equipped with belt fed automatic weapons. In TX you can get a FMV registration good for 5 years for $60 and drive it with a Class C license.
