nothing attached. After driving it a bit I realize the shift points aren’t quite right and although it’s no slouch... it is most likely stock.
The tuner I’m considering plugs into the OBDii port. It downloads your current tune to store it and then you answer some questions and it uploads a...
I’ve always thought mine was stock... but now I wonder if my tune has been changed. The only time I’ve felt there wasn’t tons of torque to spare was when I was already cruising along at 70+ mph.... Even then there was enough.
Is there a way to tell what’s been done to the computer? I used to...
I’d love to delete the fuel bowl, fuel regulator, can driven fuel pump... but it’s a slippery slope. Once I start down that path it’d be a small pile of larger bills, and a whack of time.
I’ve had a coolant filter sitting on a shelf for a year or two now. I have to prioritize my time... more so...
I’d highly recommend LED bulbs... way brighter than incandescent. Unfortunately my rears tend to burn out after a year... downside of cheap LEDs that are almost as bright as some fog lights. ;)
Small fuel leak. While running a small drip would form every 2-3 seconds on the fuel restriction valve.
Solution...
From the jobber, Amazon, and other sources the OEM Ford valve $110 CDN
From the International dealer $69 CDN or about $50 USD. The OEM International valve is about the same...
The flip side being... if you make the rig comfortable enough, the kids will come hang out in the rig while you’re running errands.
After being on the road half the day, once we’re finally home, the kids will take half an hour to leave the truck and come in... finish their game, their movie in...
If I wanted a camper I’d go with the Bus. However, I DD my rig frequently. I’d find the bus to big to DD, park in town, run errands, etc.
BTW, the Ambulance I drive is taller than an F150... but otherwise I can take it everywhere an F150 will go. Cost wise, with a 7.3, good transmission...
I’d decide what you really want. Your two options only have one thing in common is price. In reality they are both money pits. Decide what you really want and search till you find it.
Choose wisely or it’ll cost you 100 X what you may save to start over when you realize it doesn’t meet your...
Very interested. Could I trouble you for a couple lengths? Fully compressed (eye Center - Middle of rubber “grommets”? Fully extended length?
Edit... Just searched and found they’re for a 6” lift. I’m running 880s which result in 1-2” lift. I’m still curious about lengths, however I suspect...
It all depends on your needs. A pair of Interstate Golf Cart batteries are $200 usd at Costco. They will get me 4-5 days without changing. If you’d need an extra pair, savings, isn’t a savings, do remember to factor in all costs and long term costs.
These were $500 shipped to your door when I bought mine. They’ll likely outlast your van.

Average 1amp/hour draw. A cheaper fridge that consumes more power will cost more for...
Momentum = Mass x Velocity
because of how heavy they are you don’t need to be flying... but starting from a dead start on a snow covered sheet of ice on a hill will always be a bad thing. Not that my 40 Landcruiser wouldn’t just laugh at it, but an ambulance won’t keep up with it in poor...
The mistake I made was being stuck on a hill before trying to put them on. It was also dark, cold, and I wasn’t feeling patient. Even with chains, the ice under 6” of snow, the hill was impassible for my rig.
What kind of chains do you have? Do you have single or dually chains?
I’ve got all V-bar single chains I’ve run on the outer dually. The one time I used them in the snow, I pealed them off because they weren’t tight enough... &/or strong enough.
The only good thing was traditional chains is...

In town with Mostly 5-10 minute trips in stop and go traffic I usually get 12ish. Which is about the worst. Best was up around 18-19. Sailing along the freeway at 80-85 most of the day I’ve seen 16.5 mpg. Which given I was driving with a heavy foot, in a rig weighing about 10k...
It would, I want to be sure they don’t interfere with the ebrake pedal. I can use my own reasoning... but Crestline has far more real world experience.
Luckily it’s only the door... I’ll patch it up and get more years out of it.
The A pillar is also known to crack where the hinges attach. It’d be much harder to replace the A pillar.
