Just get a GEN1 Raptor. Torsen up front, E Locker in the rear. 4.11 gears.

Long flatbed on a short bed truck? Head of it?

Its insane that they do these bed extensions and moving the axle back isn't mandatory. seems like a timebomb.

Depends on how much you want to tear into it, but I've seen a few trucks get gears, torsen up front and locker in the rear. One of my friends scored a bunch of parts from a totalled Raptor and it cost him maybe 2k for all of the above vice something like 2k just for the gears, let alone the...

    2nd Gen Raptor Thoughts/Comments

I'm just joking around. I can't even imagine. My left leg comes up to the "lower" arm rest and I'm about 5'10". Like I said my one friend is 6'4" so I can only imagine for those of you who are vertically gifted. I really don't like fake sound either, but it can be turned off. Its also just a...

Don't get me wrong brandy is a good beverage, I really like it (cognac too for that matter, but thats location specific). Canadian Club was one of the first whiskys I ever drank, thanks Upper Peninsula upbringing.

Brandy is distilled wine. She's also a fine girl. What a good wife she would be. Good luck with your search!

Experience with Ultraswing hitch-mount spare tire carrier?

I'm looking at getting a new custom bumper done up for my TJ and its nearly the same cost as the Wilco Swing away. @janders I'm not sure how you're getting 2k+, but that seems HIGH. Its a cool idea if you need to have the flexibility of taking it on and off. It may work well, especially with a...

    2nd Gen Raptor Thoughts/Comments

I can understand wanting to get something better after Ram ownership. Oh c'mon I know you can do better than that! Yes I agree, its a decent looking truck. Not as good as the Gen1 but I'm biased. Are you a bit taller? My friend is 6'4" and complains about the same thing. Serious question...

The difference in price between the 14 and the 18 makes it hard for me to 14 when just a few dollars more you can get the 18. If you like smoke you'd probably like Octomore or Lagavulin. I usually carry at least one bottle with me when I go camping. I got blitzed on a bottle of Monkey Shoulder...

MMMM EXTRUDED 80/20! But seriously T-slot would probably work like a charm on the Leitner rack.

    2013 F150 FX4 Family Hauler

I don't actually advocate using it. It feels good for a bit but I've heard of a few horror stories. Factory throttle settings are set like that for a reason.

CHECK OUT THAT SICK HONDA RIDGELINE. Thats a really neat system. I don't fish enough to have any need for that (there are much cheaper ways to get piss drunk), but if fishing is your thing this may be a great solution. I know my friends who fish a lot have those style boats and the tiny...

You're talking about a jon boat? I'm a fairly fit guy, and I lift 3 to 4 times a week.... the idea of lifting one of those onto a rack like that would scare the ******** outta me. I've put my kayak on it a few times and thats a comedy of errors. I've seen those contractor racks aboslutely loaded to...

2021 F150 Spy shots. Is Ford going back to '09-'14?

Probably not. Check out the handle placement on the 3rd picture [of the 09-14 F150] compared the second picture, the handle is up top rather than inline with the body line before it juts upwards. Also looks like the backup camera is integrated into the top of the handle vice the bottom side of...

2021 F150 Spy shots. Is Ford going back to '09-'14?

Glad I'm not the only one who hated the backup lights. I threw some LEDs in there and they help, but in a few months I'm gonna have some pods thrown in the bumper.

I kind of get what you're asking, and I'll tell you most items are solid enough for normal road use and light offroading without bumping off the top of your cab. I have a 8 and half foot surfboard and I have about a foot hang over the backside and about a foot and a half over the cab and I've...

    Tire experts needed

I'm not an expect, but I do have an opinion. Stick to something safe for the normal weight of the truck. Plus you ended up with a tire that I ended up hating too, so that could be part of it as well. I don't get the Toyo MT hype.
