Yeah it was annoying at times; there may have been a few other things they were selling that I wasn't buying, but hey I also bought General Grabber X3s partly on what I saw in their travels.
@phsycle is 100% on the nose with this one. Just look how its advertised; Toyota is advertised for the...
See thats one of those jumps you really have to figure out if its worth it. My Land Rover I went from 3.55 to 4.10 and I wish I had went to 4.37 or something a bit more aggressive. The Jeep I had 3.73 and originally was going to get 4.10s then after looking over the math and everything I chose...
I've had overheating issues, both engine and trans, in a few of my cars over the years so that stuff takes priority for me. Later this year I'll be upgrading the radiator (I haven't picked the brand just yet) and going with a 170 or 180 thermostat.
I may look into something in the future, but I...
Yeah you're not the first person to tell me that, I'm just trying to be optimistic, and if thats the case I will plan accordingly. I will be in California for the next few years so I should have time to do a trip back that way when weather is more appropriate. I'm adventurous, not stupid!
Yep...
I love leather. I think it gets a bad rap as a "luxury item" but man its super rugged on these trucks. Sure its not going to hold up if you throw it in a contractors truck, but in your own personal vehicle that you'd tale care of (I presume you would at least), take some time and throw some...
I'll be doing that since I'll be passing thru Denver onto Pikes Peak into Durango in the first week of April. Weather depending, I have a few fire access roads and trails planned for the trip.
I was going to say that but I've already been accused of being a shill for them. I have it and I love it. The original version is available in the 8 foot bed, and the newer version is available in the 6.5 and 5.5 ft beds. If you have extra stuff mounted to it like I do it will take 2 or 3 hours...
Yeah, its not like a frame swap is a cost effective option on older Jeeps (and any body on frame vehicle, for that matter), but it is still an option. I know of someone who loved their ragged Range Rover Classic that had a questionable frame and they swapped the whole thing out. Not what I'd do...
I've been super busy on the road the last few days and finally got a bit of time to sort thru the images and videos I got from my trip!
I had to pack up the truck and say goodbye to my neighborhood chicken, Kevin (yes, I know). The truck was filled to the brim with junk, but it felt still felt...
Man thats a hard one. On one hand I love the 4.0 I6, and they really can last a long time if you take care of them, but boy am I not really a fan of 2nd GEN Cherokees. They're all getting up there, and while the paint and stuff might be clean they're known to just rot away, and quickly too. My...
I have an ARB in the rear of my Jeep, love it. Takes about 10 to 15 seconds for my air pump to "prime" then I can throw it on with a flick of a switch.
For the price I'd get an old one and use it as a farm truck or beach buggy. Then again I've rode in those for the military and my back is thinking maybe there are other options.
Raptors do have some fancy tech but no more than any other F150 and certainly less than some of the other offroady brands these days.
It would probably have to be a GEN1 as the GEN2 are basically still obnoxiously priced even in the used market. I'd prioritize 2013 and 2014 models.
I know...
