It is safe to dry fire a CZ 452 since the bolt is designed so that the firing pin doesn't go past the bolt face. There are quite a few threads about this on rimfirecentral.com with discussion and details.

99/00 4runners with the 5speed are pretty rare, and finding one in good condition with the elocker is very difficult. I eventually gave up on the elocker and picked up a 00 Sport 5spd with gray interior, moonroof, and only 82k miles for a little over $8000...
I built a small plywood extension that sits in front of the rear seats when they are folded, with that I have room to spare (I'm 6'1") when sleeping in the truck. Without that extension then it's definitely a bit short.
