Thought I'd give the 18" Ego another chance with a new chain so I packed it (20lbs) up 3000ft for 2 hours. Both 5Ah batteries were dead after cutting (cutout rolled down to the right) this tree. The rest of the trees were cleared with the Silky 650. Next time I'm bringing a gas saw.
Yes I agree.
It wouldn't take much to make the portable heater cases with an either/or option.....keeping in mind that too much ducting is the same as blowing air into a air tight box.
The are OK for a tent but a poor design for a camper.
The back pressure from blowing air into a sealed camper makes it horribly inefficient.
It needs to draw (not the combustion) air from inside the camper.
You'd need a 2nd teardrop to carry enough Lipo/solar to run a 12V heater.
A 12V heating blanket is another way to go.
Propex are good but noisy.
This is quiet heater that vents outside.

Started this tree with the Silky 650 ( 4th replacement blade in 2 years) but the blade kept binding.
Next day I brought the Ego 18" and two 5Ah batteries to try out. The saw just managed 3 (pcs was too heavy to move) cuts and could have made a 4th cut if the chain was brand new.
The 18" Ego...
By passive I mean using as little battery power as possible. This week we were set up in the trees for 7days with rain/snow. With the bathroom heat for drying (2.5A) , ghost loads, charging devices, water pump, inside/outside lighting the 1.3Kw solar on the roof couldn't keep up with 6hrs of...
Interesting how our uses determine things?.
We stay at one location for a 7-10 days and want limit starting (energy needed to warm the engine & starter batteries) an engine in the cold. My choice would be a passive (no fans) system that solar "may" keep up with.
A mixing valve is used to will control the temp. It will mix the cool return water with the water from the boiler.
35-45C is way to hot for infloor. Your walking on it
The better the insulation the worse a hydronic floor system performs as a primary source for heat source.
There are some...
Silicone is not the best choice because nothing bonds to it. It is used as a mold release with the FRP skin. If the silicone isn't cleaned off 110% nothing will bond. This is why I avoid silicone.
In this case try once more with silicone caulk. The old silicone needs to be removed. I have hard...
It's good to test run everything but why run a pcs of equipment and increase the service levels for when there's no need to....and it provides redundancy.
I missed the plan view of the system....
Separating the the loop for the bathroom is easy to do then you can choose to run them as 1 zone or separately
Closing up the spacing at the door will direct more heat there.
Consider running the return where there water lines are inside a cabinet...
I use our air system all winter without issues.
Lots of water drains and an air dryer.
FYI Camper package add a sway bar.
The strongest part of the FX4 package on the 2022 trucks is the stickers on the box.
Aircon isn't so bad my buddies wife requires a flush toilet and AC for the hair dryer when they are camping.
Another buddy runs his generator 24/7 for AC so we only go camping with him in the spring&fall.
