It is the 4xGuard Matrix system...in regards to a winch...I am not sure I need one and to be honest not sure I want the added weight up front. Also I have some doubts about the monocoque and mounting a winch. Not sure we can get a proper winch mount on the WK...some have mounted a winch, but...

I am running 255/75/17 ST Maxx on my Jeep Grand Cherokee....I max out at 6200# fully loaded...no issues and they kicked *** in the mud 2 weeks ago at Uwharrie....

Also got my CB antenna installed using a Steel Armadillo mount...easy enough to run the cable to the front. Also got Hilldweller to tune my Firestik for proper reception...:elkgrin:

Ok got the awning installed and just in time for the American Adventurists weekend at Uwharrie...it was a total soaker and the awning worked out great...once I got everything together it was a quick install....used some L brackets from Home Depot and some bolts and locking nuts. You will need...

My vote for the ST Maxx....this weekend in mud...not bad and did not get stuck once...aired down to 12psi and held up a like a boss...was pulling out several vehicles that had AT tires though.

The engine in the 2007-08 GC is the OM642 V6 ...there are tunes that get rid of the DPF for ROW travel and no DEF. Plus these engines are everywhere in sprinters, e350 taxis, ml350s, even the gwagen got them in europe. It should bolt easily to either the manual or auto JKU tranny.

Love my merc 3.0 diesel engine...honestly the only reason the grand cherokee is still in my garage.
