We have a 2020 OB.
I love the capabilities off road but any weight added takes a chunk out of the ground clearance.
I've gone from wanting to add a RTT to just carrying a backpack along with my 3lb Scarp II tent.
Keep an eye on the Lithium when the temp drops...take the cupboard door off or leave it open. RV trailers are famous for having freeze temps inside closed cupboards while the inside of the trailer is 60-70F.
......and I won't run a buddy heater inside ....even if you paid me to :).
At altitude it's a good idea to make sure there is a blue flame.
An orange flame makes carbon which blocks the nozzle and insulates the evatorator tube.
Absorption technology hasn't changed in 50 years. If the refrigerator is not level the boiler runs hot and possibly overheat. Running the unit while it is hot/overheating causes sodium chromate (prevent ammonia from corroding the inside of the steel tubes) particles to crystallize and to...
OFF or Repel that have lemon eucalyptus extract. It needs to be re-applied often and doesn't work on ticks.
Permetherin (different sources) we use it on pants and socks. It DOES NOT get applied to skin.
CarePlus - 20% Icaridin. I spray it on my shirt (hoodie), hat and then put some on my...
Not that you're running on it but checker plates is really slippery when it gets wet. It helps to sand the tops of the checker with 40grit paper.
Might try rare earth magnets on the outside of the alum rather than snaps.
Every RV I've looked at would fail inception for not having wire secured properly.
....thinking about it the last Motorhome I looked at had the wire for the AC laying on the 1/8" Luan so a screw or staple could be driven into the wire.
We have a Bolton Ultragain 26 (there are others) that we'll use with a weBoost. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.......some places we'll have signal during the night and nothing during the day so I'll leave it set up overnight.
Some places will have signal at certain times of the year...
I've used stranded wire for AC in marine applications but alway used solid in RVs. I don't know of any RV mfg. that uses stranded wire for the 15A or 20A AC circuits .
The issues I've found with AC wiring are with connections, wire chafing and lack of protection from sharp edges. I've never...
-Did you fill it with water to check for leaks through the welds?
-Might be an idea to cut the cross member back to completely seal bottom of the floor.
Lost count of the people I've cautioned to be careful, take their time buying a RV and been told later "You're were right". In my experience there aren't many people with money, skills and the patience to finish something like this. Finishing would be something for a cottage industry.
Size: For added security we like to keep the main body within the truck bed so you can close and lock the tailgate. At the same time you can use the gate as a “porch”. The downside is the reduced interior space. What is your thought?
Kind of defeats the purpose of a 4Season unit if security...
Many gov. will use Ozone for pre-treatment because it is much more effective than chlorine and does not generate trihalomethanes (THMs).
Ozone does not last long so chlorine will be used for post treatment to keep the water and the infrastructure sanitized.
If the Chlorine is too high people...
Preheating will mess things up.
Hope you're not planning on a continuous weld around the top.:)
I cut 1/4" x 1 1/2H x 1" W L shapes when I made UHMW slide before. With 1/16 UHMW I'd be worried about what temp I installed it at or cut slots to accommodate the thermal movement.
Acetal tape...
