    Overland Sprinter Build

Might try 3/16" for the top. The Stove/Sink will clamp it flat. With .250 you'll need to make sure the pcs has been rolled flat. I looked at some .250 yesterday that had roll marks from poor flattening. Better chance of getting 5086 flat than 5052.....or 6061 T6 $$ tooling plate will be flat...

    Water filtration

We filter the water going (seen allot of used tanks with muck on the bottom) into the tanks. After every use the filters are removed and left to dry out. If the source has not been purified then we use Progene (purified sodium chlorite) that we carry It does not form Trihalomethanes like...

    Overland Sprinter Build

1/8"? ....maybe .100" for the drawers? The way it is now you could park a truck on it. To reduce weight you could join the triangles to make rectangular. Most of the bottom could be cut out to. Line the verticals in the center divider up with the bolt holes in the drawer slides then only top...

    Electric Chain Saw???

Yes, XL. I'd recommend the S650 over the S2000. On my last trail clearing hike I cleared 6 miles in 7hrs using the S650 and a machete. The biggest tree was 27" dia. After that tree I'd had enough and headed home. Here are felling wedges I've customized. Two are needed for bigger trees. The...

In my experience it's amazing how fast rain barrels get filled with weight. Before you know it there are a bunch of barrels that weren't there before.

Where can I buy Panasonic HIT N250 Slim solar panels here in the U.S.?

For a large sysy 4th Controller? Our 2.6Kw - 12v uses two controllers. A 150/100 for the portable and 250/100 on the roof top. The 250 was to allow 2 more panels on the roof but I it's not likely I'll add them. I would have gone 24v or 48v if the hyd leveling system didn't have 4-12v motors...

    Nimbl Vehicles build thread

I stopped using aluminum for electrical panels after seeing voltage leaking from the + stud of a BSS battery switch to the mouting bolts. Now I'll mount high amperage components to plastic or plywood. We did a trip in June and the dew could be cut with knife. The metal includeing the case of our...

    Building a Micro-Split AC System

Aluminum on copper is never a good combo. You'll want to wash the condenser with alkaline neutral condenser cleaner. It will help to protect it but you need acess to both sides of the coil.....to make sure the fins are clear side to side
