    Should I buy this trailer?

If it were me I'd hold out for a 416 or better, an M101cdn because it suits my needs better. Seems a bit pricey to me, but if it works for you I'd go with Maximus' suggestion :sombrero:

Trailer HAM Radio Base Camp Install

Hey Kurt, I saw you pulling your cool trailer into BFE last week - I had hoped to get a better look at your rig, it looks sweet! Dave, do you have a link to the pole? I want one...

Trailer HAM Radio Base Camp Install

ntsqd mentioned a J pole in another thread, that might be a really good option. You could whip one up out of copper tubing easy, even a collapsable version which wouldn't take up much space: http://www.dxzone.com/cgi-bin/dir/jump2.cgi?ID=15521 or buy an Arrow J pole, I have one and it works...

    switching to a landcruiser!

He's in Canada - no trouble to acquire a JDM HJ61 (though a nice one is getting hard to find). It looks sweet, and a 12H-T, H55F, and cable lockers is a tough combo to beat. Nice score!

Post favorite pics of your rig and trailer

That's great - it looks like you trained your doggie to spot the trailer for you :sombrero:

Roberto, that is sweet! My 74 is coming along nicely. Here's how it looked the day I brought it home: and now - OME, F+R ARBs, FF rear end, ARB front bumper w/24V 8274, LF 240 Blitz (Blitzes?),custom sliders and rear bumper w/ swing away tire and gerry can holders, rear seat gone replaced...

Dude I like the way you roll. Anybody that takes a Reg Barber tamper camping is A OK in my books - nice touch! :victory:

    Offroad (camp) espresso

Says who? :coffeedrink: Sure you could water down your bialetti coffee americano style, it would be fine. I like it straight out from the pot myself, it's a nice tasty brew.

    HDT Diesel Motorcycles--testing the waters.

Here I thought someone was going to put a Toyota 1HD-T diesel in a motorcycle :sombrero:

    Willman's '85 FJ60 Land Cruiser

24 hours later: I figure by the end of the week the plan will be locked 80 series axles, coils, a 1HD-T, dual cases, and 39" pit bulls  Nice buy for $500!

    Toyota LandCruiser HDJ81 VX LTD

Oh yeah, that's an Outback truck (brought in by Outback Importers). They really go through the trucks they bring over (at least they used to - don't know how they are anymore...), their service package was excellent. If it's been in country for a couple of years it would have been when marko...

    Toyota LandCruiser HDJ81 VX LTD

Tons of them around here - they are awesome. Check out IH8MUD's diesel section and 80 series section. If you're planing to wheel it at all look for factory lockers. Coil springs + factory lockers + torquey diesel = very capable wheeler right out of the box. Easy and cheap to lift too. Anything...

    Antenna Help please

Larsen NMO 2/70 is excellent. There's a guy that sells separation kits for around $20 on eBay, a fair bit cheaper than buying from Yaesu.

    Yaesu HAM radio opinions?

It's worth mentioning that the 7800 doesn't have this capability. You have to step up to the 8800 for true dual band/dual receive. The 7800 does VHF and UHF, but you can only use one at a time.

Please forgive me, Newb to 60's

Cdn spec 60s had c clip rear axles. Many (not all) of the JDM HJ61s have full floaters. A cdn FF in anything other than an old FJ45 was near un-obtainium until the jdm explosion. That said, there's nothing wrong with the semi floater, it is a skookum piece. If I were wanting a diesel but...

    Drawer sliders Question

I used Accurides form Lee Valley Tools. The newer locking versions are nice. http://www.leevalley.com/hardware/page.aspx?c=2&p=50505&cat=3,43614,43620&ap=1

    Coffee Preparations

Another happy Bialetti Moka Express user here. I picked up a 2 cupper last year and used it on a few trips. It rocks. The coffee from the Bialetti was a big enough hit with the others I was out with that I bought a 6 cup version for sharing. :coffeedrink:
