Tried to use this today with my Sprinter van v6 diesel. Nothing... . The battery was pretty dead around 80-90% drained so I guess it didn’t stand a chance. I was under the impression they could jump a completely dead battery? Or are these units more of a booster requiring some existing battery...

i emailed Colorado Camper Van and they were kind enough to send over a few pictures of one of their 170 extended installs. i like how it looks. i think the vans length makes the hump a bit less noticeable. with a set up like this we could sleep upstairs and have a decent sized shower with plenty...

The interior height of my van is around 6’4” or so I’m definitely going to need something sturdy and EASY to climb to get up to the bunk. Good call on the rack and panels. That would help keep the roof line flow and add more storage that’s up and out of the way from prying eyes

Here’s a picture of my van. Whatever pop top I find has to also flow with the roof line and look good. I don’t want a hump up there but that’s just what might have to happen seeing how long the van is. Every pop top I’ve seen so far is about 8’ or so

That’s our thinking as well. Sleep upstairs and then storage and living space below. My van is about 4’ longer than the van in the video so I’m going to have to give those guys a call and see what they offer.

I just got a set and they only came with the hardware, no template or anything. Is this something I can do just by eye? Any other tips I need to be aware off?

my thoughts exactly! i know those larger packs work great but i just dont have the room. I also like the option of charging electronics and having and emergency light without having to drag around a 20lb battery. The smaller Lithium packs offer a lot more flexibility.

they have a 2000 amp model as well but im trying to stay within a certain budget unless it makes sense to go that route with the larger unit, in which case im willing to pay more.

thats my though as well. the way i understand it is that these ratings are MAX ratings so lets say the starter only needs to pull 300 amps to start? then it only draws 300 amps. i want to have enough for a worst case scenario, completely dead battery with below zero temps etc etc

they have some fabric selection! im going to give them a call. i wonder if they could match something up to what i have already color wise? right now the interior is black with Designo Porcelain leather. it would be great to have a seat cover that looks pretty close to my seats now.

a heavy duty material like Cordura/Neoprene would be ideal but id take leather as well.

i feel like i just bought something with ''FREE'' shipping off of Ebay.

They already had the truck so too late for that now. last time i pulled out from their service with my sprinter they hit me with a charge for diagnosing etc so i just let them fix it. just got the truck back. $1,050.99 total. they said they didnt charge for the parts, just for the labor...

Sent the truck to the dealer and after about a week's worth of testing they've come to the conclusion that it's a bad driver's side door seal and it's going to cost ardund $1,000 after whatever discounts they can get together. They said it's not covered under the CPO warranty. Door Seals go...
