    Ok, Calling the Battery Experts

I ran across information on this battery today. Noted: 5 pounds!! 720 Cranking Hours Works well with trucks that have V8s They are pricey, but wondering how these would work in A) my trailer where I have 2 extremely heavy 31 series Diehard Platinums and B) my truck, as I...

Expedition Portal Project: 2008 Range Rover Sport

Never fear, The sliders have a bump down slider for the compressor on the original design, and I am simply having it replicated ... just in a larger dimension. I also saved the original section removed with a plasma cutter. It can be re-attached at any time! :) Thanks D

Like A Moth To The Flame- My New LR3

Well, they are wide open circuitry in the back. That said, my current ones are mounting on the back side of the bumper. Where these are positioned on the bumper I suspect they would work fine mounted behind the bumper or on the face of the bumper. I may try to fab a rubber gasket to go behind...

    LR3 Dash Trim?

NATE: The wood trim typically uses tacky back to affix. You may have better luck heating with a hair dryer to remove than just tugging it off. Also, the dealer may be willing to install the aluminum trim pack which would go where the wood is. It gives the truck a much more utilitarian look. D

    Lr3 Trailer lights....head explody!

Paul: I know this seems silly, but try working the plug back and forth a bit while plugged into the truck. Mine had issues, and turned out all the prongs were not making contact. I since placed dielectric grease on it, and it makes contact all the time. May or may not help, but can't hurt to...

Like A Moth To The Flame- My New LR3

The bumper was on when I got the truck as was the skid. (in other words, the fly fishing expedition crew had done all of the up fitting through Land Rover Roaring Forks) The dealer hates the front skid plate because it must come off to change the oil filter. D

Maintaining Your Gear- Kaymar Rear Bumper Refurb Project

It is rough and "grippy" for sure. For some reason in the photo it is showing as semi-gloss. If you look at the gas can swing away, the entire thing is done in the BedCoat. I may do the top of the bumper (masked off the rest) and the top of the ARB front with it, because it offers a no slip...

Like A Moth To The Flame- My New LR3

I spent the afternoon on Monday refurbing the rear Kaymar Bumper. My truck was used prior to my owning it by a fly fishing expedition group and saw lots of hard Colorado trail use. There was so much red silt in every nook and crevice of the rear of the truck, inside the rear turn signals, all of...

Maintaining Your Gear- Kaymar Rear Bumper Refurb Project

A Quick Solution to a potentially long term problem. I spent the afternoon on Monday refurbing the rear Kaymar Bumper. My truck was used (prior to my owning it) by a fly fishing expedition group and saw lots of hard Colorado trail use. There was so much red silt in every nook and crevice of...

    My Conqueror and Rig!

Well, I cannot believe I haven't posted in this thread since last July. Holy Smokes. We took the trailer two weeks ago to Mammoth Cave Kentucky. While not off-roading per se, it did give us some beautiful road time and we were able to find (thanks to a Ranger in the supply store) a remote...

Pulling an offroad trailer with an LR3

Campndad has used the Voyager (Rover Racks) hitch on a very long cross country trek pulling a trailer behind his LR3 with no issues. I have a Curt currently and even with an extender (so I can open the rear cargo doors when attached to the trailer), I feel some play and do not like that part of...

Pulling an offroad trailer with an LR3

You guys need to check this thread out. Here is a local solution for $219.00 http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/126774-LR3-Trailer-Hitch Just like the Australian but US made and much less expensive. D

    Lr3 vs. lr4 towing

Aaron: I pull an offroad camper/trailer with my LR3. The difference between it pulling the trailer and my DI or a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is night and day! It is as if the trailer is barely there. D

    LR3 Trailer Hitch

This unit is indeed available from Voyager Racks and runs $219.00 plus shipping. I would shoot Andy an e-mail: info@voyageroffroad.com Thanks D

    LR3 Trailer Hitch

Not from Australia, rather being produced by the folks at RoverRacks. I think it is still in testing and not yet produced for distribution, but you could e-mail them from their website I list above to determine an ETA. Seems it wasn't going to be extremely pricey. Thanks D

Conqueror Compact electrical issue - Power Distribution replacement?

Honestly, while my unit is working at the moment, I am contemplating the Goal Zero Yeti 1250 with Solar Panels. I figure if I remove the OEM panel, I could amend the area so this will slide in and lock, with the beauty of it being that I could remove it and use it elsewhere. It seems it would...
