Nice! I'm curious what it will actually look like when production actually comes out, but I'm intrigued by it. I think electric is our future and look forward to someone solving the "overlanding range problem". Although, I honestly don't see 500 miles of range being a limiter for most of the...
I like your thought process, you don't need both of those. I bought my last truck for $24k and I thought it was soooo expensive. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around $50k, which is where the calculator puts me with even basic amenities.
Weirdly, I can get almost the same payment as...
I like the new grill, and I've really considered getting one. I have the real thing though ( a 1957 cj5), so I have no use for a Roxor. That drivetrain is pretty tempting though! I'm definitely planning on adding Roxor parts to modernize my Jeep, such as the swinging pedals, maybe steering parts...
Any Texan dealer in particular? I'm sure there's a "dennis dillon" type dealer out there for fords, but I've never heard mention of one. A road trip from texas to Virginia would be a nice drive!
How about we all just agree to stop mowing people down with cars? Problem solved!
Evidence shows that around the time that pedestrian deaths started going up, the take rate of manual cars started becoming very low. Also around that time smart phones started becoming much more integrated into...
Are there seriously that many people hit by cars that we need to design a 5,00lb vehicle around whether they will be splattered at a skewed angle vs. bounced and pummeled squarely?
Being hit by a freaking car is going to ruin someone's day no matter what the shape of the angry eyes are. I dont...
People that dont want to futz with 30-70 year old wiring and mechanicals are going to want this over a cj5 or cj7. The diesel powerplant is a nice bonus.
Yes, we have plans in place for situations such as a major disaster or disruption, where somehow we would have to make our way home on foot. If home wasn't safe we have a rendezvous location. Both my wife and I have supplies that we keep in the car to sustain us.
Was that you guys that I've seen featured in a few places at Overland Expo East's "favorite rigs" https://expeditionportal.com/the-vans-and-campers-of-overland-expo-east/? Love this truck, it looks so fun and functional.
Would love to see more from y'all!
Love this camper! Light and customizable based on the scenario. I like that it can be a shell, but I can load it up with a modular "everything plus a kitchen sink" when I want to.
Great job! It makes one wonder why they would consider purchasing a production camper for $30k+ when you have proven you can have something homey and serviceable for much much less money. Well done.
You read my mind, exactly what I was thinking. There's been a lot of innovation in off-road motorcycles in the last 50 years, and there have been a few 2wd motorcycles that have been substantially faster and more maneuverable. But, they didnt have atv tires and couldn't hold fuel in their...
I've always admired and lusted after a rokon. I just wish they would modernize them to the point that they have the rideability of even a '70's enduro bike.
I love it in theory, but I just can't see using it for real world things like trail rides with buddies or dirt road exploring. Especially...
I'm glad you California guys are talking about earthquake preparedness. That and wildfires will more than likely be the scenario you need to prep for. It sounds like you need to find some lesser known route around the San Andrea's fault, but it also sounds like if the shtf, you'll need a lot of...
