I thought the Transit GVWR was higher. The GVWR number I had in my brain was for a Spinter.
A NSM is required for companies seling vehicles but it is not the same for individials. Each state and province has differnt regulation regarding the NSM for incompete vehicles being registerd/insured...
Walmart, HD and the ones supplied with RVs are Type 1. They start to leak is around the hose crimp.
Best thing to do is replace the high pressure hose with Type 2 or 3. When I do I make sure the hose is long engough to reach a propane tank sitting on the ground.
Propane outlets carry Type 2...
Steel is used because it cheap, can be built to suit and doesn't need to be protected.
Copper is used because it is cheap and it can be buit to suit.
Hose is expensive and each assembly needs to be certified and tagged......but hose is easy to install. I've seen/replaced some really cheap Type1...
I've pull 12v off both 24v/48v banks and 24v off 48v. Sometimes we'd use a set of aligator clips to switch between cell/batteries.

Never done it with Lithium. With cell balancing it may work even better.
A tube of Crazy Glue. I used it to close a cut on my arm. Felt like alcohol was poured on the cut though. I've since been I told there's product called Dermabond but I still carry the CG.
I learned about the Crazy Glue from a guy whose skin on his hands would crack.
Steel/copper(Type K)/hoses(Type 1, 2, 3) will all work. It comes down to how complex the system is and making sure the soft (copper and hoses) lines are protected.
Other than to the appliance don't make any connections/slices inside the vehicle.
I have a Mr. Buddy heater but I don't run it...
# 2 If the wire can be connected to the terminals without bending the wire.
#3 If the wire needs a sharp bend to connect to the terminals.
#4 A ring terminal is bolted to the terminal. I've done it with 10ga but there's no reason it cannot be done with 8ga. The holes in the terminals needs to...
1.) Switch the socket to an Anderson that works with 8ga. If your using 8ga I suspect the ARB socket is at the top end of the amperage capacity.
2.) If your wiring for voltage drop (not full amperage) the wire can be reduced to fit into a 10ga terminal using the 10ga hole in a wire stipper
3.)...
I've seen both hard and soft wood used. Hard wood wears while softwood compresses. All of which is good as long as the bolts are snug.
For offroad I've seen (but have no experince with) 2, 3, 4 and 6 point mounting.
These bags will be rated for the survival temp. so you'll need to take 10-15 degrees off the rating to be comfortable.
I agree with IdaSho Western Moutaineering is the way to go. Another option is Featherd Freinds. Either will last decades......longer than you'll remember what you paid.
Using...
I've pulled out 5 year old copper wire from RVs that the copper is black (corrosion) along the whole 10' - 20'- 40' length of wire. This is because the moisture penetrates the PVC/Vinyl jacket on wire.
To me marine means a whole system was used.
- Wire is sized for the combined length both the...
With the difference in installing racks on the truck, loading, tie down I figure the our Pakboat takes 20min longer than our regular canoes.
Being able to store it away means there's allot of comfort in not worring about theft. Can't say the same about our Kevlar canoes.
Resale on a Pakboat...
Mono vs Poly is an endless discussion.
Residential (higher voltage) panels have more technology like glass and heat control.
Choose a panel based on the efficency.
I chose Panasonic becasue more efficent panels were exponentially more expensive...
