    AEV Brute Double Cab

I hear you mon frer. Perhaps überschwieriglander, or Extreme-overlander, maybe 浪人揚げ過ぎ (Overlander Ronin - JDM vehicles only), how about Supremely-capable-overlander... nah, you're right; just ignore them but never refuse their request to get them unstuck with your truck.:coffeedrink:

Where does everyone hide a second key?

I keep my spare key secured in a lock box attached to the side of my truck in plain view. If you want to see it, be careful when opening it; the lid sticks a little.

Well, I'm still up too Jim. ARB is in the bed of the truck, tent's in the garage, footlockers are packed and ready, got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and I'm wearing sunglasses. When do you want to go?

Could a Tacoma be right for me for an Expo Rig?

Maybe you've already done this but I recommend looking at the this thread - http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/52528-Collection-of-Build-Threads It's a collection of build threads; I think scanning might help you fine tune some of your desires and perceived requirements from this...

Your gracious reply is the marque of a man. It wasn't required or even expected, but thanks for your sincere remarks; if it means anything, your stock went up in my view.

    AEV Brute Double Cab

That might work out, but see, my uh, truck, has about 6 inches of lift on 35's from the SAC and suspension modifications... in the interest of full disclosure you should know I'm not really an Overlander. I've been told I'm a Rock Crawler. I don't go rock-crawling and am not all that...

    AEV Brute Double Cab

I resemble that remark. I only managed a month long journey of 9,000 miles coast-to-coast and Canada. I'm really feeling like a poseur now... I guess you're right Dan. Your comments really put into perspective how narrow-minded and selfish I am for thinking that raising my children through...

    AEV Brute Double Cab

Why the antagonism Black ZJ? The thread was initiated to inform the community of an innovative project vehicle made by some true craftsman in MT. Many of us will never afford this truck or some of their products and yes, there may be more "logical" thrifty solutions out there, but this is just...

    AEV Brute Double Cab

I love my Tacoma but I think the AEV Brute DC is a winner also; nothing new coming out these days comes close to the rugged style and utility that the crew from Missoula has captured here. AEV quality and attention to detail is outstanding. If it had a diesel in it too... break out the...

    OXO Good Grips Egg Beater

When the protein in the egg changes from a liquid to a solid, the egg is cooked adequately to kill pathogens. Food handling safety is no joke in the field. We plan for trips, spare fluids and parts for our vehicles, extra clothes for changing weather conditions, first aid kits, but I often...
