    Diving in Head First!

It was a good solution. The winch manufacturer recommended forward mounting to prevent stress on the mount bolts. It required less metal which helped compensate for the fact that I built it out of 1/2" thick material. Not sure why more manufacturers don't go this direction. Allan

    Diving in Head First!

Completed and field tested the new bumper. Very happy with the result. Ended up integrating the AC condenser mount into the passenger side storage bin. The bins are very useful for chains, garbage, stinky diesel addative, etc…. I see why they charge so much for custom bumpers as it was a ton of...

Mitsubishi Fuso 4x4 problem with the brakes

I had a problem with my first set of tires. They were 37" BFG all terrains. One of them was 3/4" out of round. You could lift the truck and spin the wheel and see the wobble. Also confirmed that the wheel was perfectly round at the time. Sold those tires off and moved on to a different brand...

Excellent! So glad you are happy with them. Outside of the super singles, I feel they are the best improvement I have made to the truck. Allan

Mine had loose clamps inside when I pulled them apart as well.

    Diving in Head First!

I remember being stunk by a wasp that got sucked into the wing window on our VW bus. No fun and very exciting. The biggest benefit of the mirrors is the reduction in wind noise. Fido also has a block heater. I use it periodically if I haven't started the truck in a long time to help...

Oh wow! Mine were the stock lower mounts on a 2000 model. What year is yours? Let me know how you like them.

We absolutely love them. The height is great. It gets them out of the way of the views and visibility is very good. The only time I have missed the old mirrors is when backing with a trailer. This is more due to the distance out away from the truck than the height. Sent from my iPhone using...

    Diving in Head First!

The winch isn’t wired yet. I am still in mock up stage. I have both a switch and fuse. They will be on the frame just behind the cab. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Diving in Head First!

Progress! I bought a Sherpa 17000 lb winch with extra capacity spool. Then built a bolt on cradle from 1/2 " steel. Then sectioned the stock bumper and attached it to the sides. The end result looks fairly similar to stock but is much more robust. All I have left is to take it all apart...

Should I Jump on 2007 Mitsubishi Fg140 4x4 for sale?

I believe the US Federal Government mandated DEF on all diesel vehicles after 2008.

Should I Jump on 2007 Mitsubishi Fg140 4x4 for sale?

The 2007 model is more desirable due to no DEF Emissions system. I would lean towards it even with the higher mileage. Allan

    Cab Interchangeably

Seattle is a large enough market you should be able to find something local at a wrecking yard. The two wheel drive cabs from the FE and FH should interchange. I would love an FH cab as it has wider fender flares which would work well with the super single tires. Allan

Yeah, the Fuso diesels are in the 13 range as well.

Should I Jump on 2007 Mitsubishi Fg140 4x4 for sale?

The price is high for such high mileage. I would expect to pay $20k for a similar vehicle at current market rates. That having been said, if you are eager to get started on your build and don't want to wait 6 months or a year for the right one to pop up then this could be the vehicle for you...
