Post pictures of your Land Rover.

Had a nice off road day yesterday, was on MOD ( Ministery of Defence, yes the british army.. ) training grounds, so some nice easy bits but also 1 hill that many of us tried to climb. My mate and i had the only modern landy's there so i stepped up to the challenge and gave it ignorance! Looks...

Still prefer mine. That one is too similar to the OEM ladder for my liking... :p

Really? Ouch, that's rather rubbish as it's a good quality ladder. Plus it was cheaper than a genuine one and looks better.

    LR3 suspension improvments-not the usual

There have been a few threads on Disco3.co.uk about changing these parts. I've linked a thread that was started by Australian members, they seem to have had some issues with Balistin and Koni shocks. I do accept the thread is a few years old and hopefully things will have improved, but just for...

This is what i have. It's from a UK company called Prospeed, the ladder brand new is £210, i won mine off ebay for £102 inc delivery.. it was in brand new condition with ZERO marks on it, even the mounting bolts were clean and free from dirt and rust. It has the "stirrup" style step to help you...

    General reliability question

I think you have, it's a tongue in cheek comment, maybe you don't get sarcasm? The myth is land cruisers need no work done and are 100% reliable. He has said, if they are so reliable, then why all the spare parts, given that a 100% reliable car shouldn't need spare parts.. You must have missed...

Expedition Portal Project: 2008 Range Rover Sport

PJPR01. With regular servicing and changing all the oils, i see no reason for your Sport not to last way past 300k. Change the autobox oil every 75k or so and it will be fine, Mine is getting changed next month. Bit overdue from what ZF recommend though.. Liking the drawer system, simple yet...

40+ Imported Defenders seized by Homeland Security Today (developing story)

From Uk side, finding a 25 year old 90/110 with original chassis is not an easy thing! Many get rebuilt on galvanised, I have 4 friends who all have 2/300tdi engined 90s from 92-96 era. 3 are on galvanised chassis now. Curiously, I've seen a few rebuilds for us markets featured in LRM, they had...

Looking at Discovery 2's...what should I be prepared for??

15 years to import diesels to Canada? Does that mean in 5 years time you could import tdv6 lr3 models? Or for now, import td5 engined D2 models?

Looking at Discovery 2's...what should I be prepared for??

My friend has a silver last of the line 04 TD5 auto ES premium. It's got all the kit and looks pretty smart. It would lose in a drag race to a N/A diesel powered wheel barrow! :D Never knew the stateside ones were so troublesome!

£1 = $1.71 It's 1.32 a litre for diesel at my local station so that's $2.25 a litre. That's $10.25 for a UK gallon and $7.90 for US. What octane do you get? Is it the same as us for regular at 95 and premium from 97-99?

When you put it that way, the diesel would make sense for your larger country and the miles you cover. The best I've got was 513 miles and 28.5 mpg. The "tiny tank" is to us over here rather large! Haha. It's 82 litres! Although at £1.32 a litre it does hurt sticking over £110 into it. The 23...

To be fair, depending on your use. The V8 isn't much worse on fuel. My average for all use of the car, daily driving, off roading, towing etc, with Duratracs fitted is 23.52 mpg at proper gallons.. ;) They are also slow, there is 3 seconds between the tdv6 and v8 for the dash to 60. However...

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

If the RRC prices go the way they are starting to in the UK. Good clean unmodified examples are gaining serious value. The rough ones have been off roaded, chopped about etc so the good ones that are left are getting snapped up for collections. I would enjoy it, but keep it clean and if you do...

Expedition Portal Project: 2008 Range Rover Sport

Tbh, changing air bags is not a common thing to do. I have heard of a few people doing it on D3s for the exact reasons the poster described, prolonged driving over ******te roads wearing them out. Most were from Aus though from long extended outback driving over awful terrain. Don't be put off by...

2008 Range Rover - Stripped transmission output shaft

As far as i'm aware, it's the same 6 speed ZF gearbox. I would be double and triple checking that info however to be 100% sure. Seems a strange failure to have, did the dealer give any ideas why it has happened?

Far too many V8s being posted. Time for the tractor engines to pop up again... ;) haha! Fitted my "new" to me expo roof rack. It got painted but there are holes in the side from a previous owner so getting them welded up and sorted. Trying to find a rear ladder for it, just ordered a set of...
