Payload and towing are not synonymous. I have not seen the payload for the hybrid 110. Did it change?

From what I've read, it gets 27 miles of all-electric range and 83 MPGe combined. Tax incentives could at least partially offset costs. The touring implications of a combined 83 MPG are profound; five extra gallons of gas adds 400 extra miles of range. The platform adds torque, slashes...

"No demand" is a vigorously dumb statement. Who wouldn't want to get 83 MPG on their touring truck?

Diesel quality and availability are problems for travel in Mexico, especially along the coast. My last trip down was delayed a few days when the Pemex that my travel partners had planned was out of diesel.

As cool as the 4xe is, it's still for the most part 20 year old Prius-like technology, and it's pretty pathetic that it took nearly two decades for that sort of technology to show up in a remote touring vehicle.

Thanks. This implies that Jeep could reconfigure a 3.6 JLU with a 1700 payload. if so, I would spend half of those extra 500 payload pounds on auxiliary fuel capacity (and hardware), which would yield, given the 4Xe's efficiency, a net payload gain of perhaps 300 pounds over the 4xe. And then...

I've been eyeing FWC builds as my 50s approach and living space for foul weather becomes more attractive. I would not run a FWC on a Tacoma. Dirt touring at capacity begs trouble. I've seen firsthand Tacoma suspensions ruined doing so. I much prefer plenty of payload freeboard touring. Newer...
